Wow. dumbest thing I have read today. Oh well everyone has weaknesses.
Well one can see that I am correct. Jakob is able to break the 2000m record and he even bragged it was not so hard. Now at 1609m Jakob cannot do it. This is mostly due to his relative lack of foot speed. Not sure why this is so difficult for many of you.
It’s 55.x second per 400m. Not exactly all about foot speed.

Yes indeed it is about foot speed. Who wins in a 400 between Jakob and Goose? If the answer is Jakob then Jakob is in a world of trouble if he races Goose at longer distances.
J Ingebrigtsen had everything Hicham el G had, a competitor racing him all the way down the homestretch. What will J I do now? 1) He will continue to avoid the other 10 sub:12:50 5000m men in paced 5000m races. 2) He will increase his mileage! won't help). 3) Triple thresholds? Won't help. 4) More (6 or 7) x 800m at 3000m race pace. Won't make him a faster 1500m man. 5) I hope 11 year olds & 12 year old reading Let'srun ignore the majority of you old slow horses. J Is training is flawed.

I’ve read this 5 times and I’m still confused
It is an IQ test. You have failed it 5 times but I do appreciate your candor.
Maybe don't have the Diamond League final in mid-80s weather in mid-afternoon. Have it in the early evening like in all the major DL races outside of the United States and you'd probably have had a world record in the mile today. He said he couldn't even see the pacing lights and so that it was worse than not having them at all. But you also might want to get a pacer who can go more than 900m. All he needed today was an evening start and he'd have had it in all likelihood.
I tend to agree. People are rarely able to run faster than their feet.
Exactly!
In fact, only rarely or never is at least one of your feet not going faster than you. It has to, to get back in front. Then the other one has to. Maybe there's a brief instant in every stride where neither is going faster.
Is there a time when both of your feet are going exactly the same speed as you? My postulate is no. I think running is fundamentally when both of your feet are trying to get away from you as fast as they can in different directions.
This is why Jakob will NEVER get a world record from one mile and below. He does not have the requisite turnover. Oh well. Everyone has weaknesses.
He's literally two strides away from the world record.
Nah, 2 strides is a frickin eternity dude. Jacob himself told the media it's not a small margin, it's A LOTTTTTTTTTTTTT! Even 1cm in a mile sprint is a lot. It's really like the 100m. They both are sprint events. Former is long sprint latter is short sprint
