23 yo virgin??? WTF dude. Maybe your junk has given up on you.
But yeah, at 23 yo, a slight brush or breeze should stiffen you. At 23 yo you should be potentially embarrassed at least once a month because you've got wood even in public situations. At 23 yo, you should wake up every single day with morning wood.

45 year-old doctor here. No erection problems for sex or masturbating, and I have morning wood more days than not. Running 30-50 mpw depending on current goals. Lifting once or twice per week.
If you were my patient, in order I would suggest:
- Making sure you are sleeping enough (6-8+ hours; this really depends on the individual but is usually higher for active people)
- Cut down on alcohol: abstain more days than not, and when you do drink make it no more than 1-2 drinks -- except for 'occasions' if you must, which shouldn't be more than one week
- Strength training if you're not already. Weights, not a bunch of push-ups unweighted squats after your runs. This is a difference-maker for testosterone, especially as it starts to drop in the middle-ages.
- Be sexually active, whether with a partner or yourself. Testosterone is responsive to anticipation of sex(ual activity). There is some truth to the idea that you use it or lose it (at least some of it).
- Re. the last two points, testosterone levels are rarely an issue for a healthy 23-year old man who isn't sleeping poorly, drinking excessively, or living under overwhelming stress etc. I'd suggest getting your checked.
I wake up every morning softer than a Twinkie. Besides that, I guess my libido is alright, decent urges here and there and I enjoy the occasional adult film, though I’m a #virgin. I eat a balanced diet, no junk food and limited processed food (granola bars etc). Meat, veggies, eggs rice, fruit make up most of my daily intake. I’ve had problems with under-fueling in the past but have corrected since. I run 60-70mpw year round with some down time for injuries. That includes workouts, like 12x400, the occasional tempo, fartlek etc. Some lifting here and there. Blood tests have always come back normal, though I’ve never tested for T. Worth noting I get fairly depressed sometimes. Any advice?
You’ve obviously been watching the video doing the rounds of Jarmila Kratochvílová breaking the 800m record. - That’s enough to inject ice into any man’s libido……..

Does marijuana use impact test? I vape daily (right before bed) and am late 30s but am wondering if that impacts test levels?
If you're overtraining or producing a lot of cortisol, you are going to blunt your production of testosterone. This is begins with pregnenolone. The body "chooses" whether to produce DHEA, testosterone, etc, or it produces cortisol. The link between testosterone and pregnenolone is why men sometimes use pregnenolone to get a bit of a boost in testosterone. Consider that, if your body is being torn up and not recovering, it will prefer cortisol over testosterone. You need cortisol to live; testosterone can, and does, wane with age. You may need to cut back on your training. Other than that, it is a psychological issue. Libido is impacted by testosterone, but also dopamine, high estrogen and prolactin. The last two are rare, particularly at your age. Dopamine levels can drop if you are seeking "highs" through sex by, e.g., pornography. Libido is also very much a psychological issue. If there are any hidden concerns about sex or discomfort related to sex/sex drive, libido will drop. Good luck with it.
47y/o guy here… have always had an enormously insatiable libido (since I was about 15), I’ve sired two offspring, enjoyed a very active bachelor life in my early 30s, now my wife (younger by 8 years) can’t keep up…
I’ve never once had morning wood in my life, and have never even had a wet dream.

Get your test levels checked. Also stop watching porn. It seriously screws with your head and leads to ED. Not saying you can't crank it but do it without the porn. It messes with your sex drive and will lead to problems down the road of not being able to get up with an actual woman.
Good news, it might not actually be a testosterone issue.
The phenomenon known as "morning wood" is due to the fact that the penis becomes erect during REM sleep. So, you might just be waking up between REM cycles. Nothing to worry about there.
However, this could also indicate a REM sleep issue, which over time can mess you up pretty bad

Appreciate this and the other comments. I lift heavy, mostly avoid alcohol, and sleep 7-8hrs. Though I am quite stressed most of the time.
also mortified to see this climb the popular threads list

When I was newly 24 yrs old this happened to me. Was working 70+ hours per week, running, playing in soccer, flag football, intramural sports leagues and staying up late drinking all if the time.
Getting tested may only confirm that your health isn’t ideal, which is might be lowering your test level, because otherwise why would you need to know your test level other than to brag about it, or get prescribed juicy juice?
I was in categories 1&2, where I inquired and then found out my levels are great, and have since alternated between poorer health states were my test went down some, e.g. when very lean, and normal states where my test is very high. The maintenance of a healthy body isn’t just a one time blood test. You are probably suffering with dietary deficiencies - zinc is crucial as one guy mentioned, since its competitor, copper, is abundant in tap water. Magnesium is also easy to be lacking in. For this reason, take zma.
There is nothing inherently wrong with processed carbs and sugar. Just don’t do more than 50-100 grams of sucrose-fructose sugar per day, but even I do that, and I’m pretty damn healthy, from lipids, to blood pressure, physical phenotype, performance, testosterone, blood sugar& hgbA1c
Addendum, no wood upon waking doesn’t 100% correlate with test levels, because you might have latency from transitioning out of the peak release of lh and testosterone during rem sleep cycle

I follow a somewhat keto diet and bump into 100 grams daily more often than not. The only thing 'wrong' with sucrose/fructose is that it's in everything.
Mid twenties I noticed my morning wood and intense sex drive started to decline.
Mid-thirties and certainly get good erections for sex with my wife (a couple times per week, still avoiding the post-nuptual shutoff thread!) but the random erections throughout the day, morning erections, and the constant sexual thoughts about most women I meet have subsided and I can't say I really miss them.

It's time to adopt the DANCAN methodology. Cut that mileage in half and train on the minimum effective dose
