jet lag is honestly the dumbest excuse i've ever heard for a bad performance. Gabby has started 400m races faster than her 200m open time at Monaco. she should be able to run 22.00 after staying up for 72 hours with no sleep.
if she knows she has a tendency to jet lag, why not travel earlier? why even travel and race at all? BECAUSE IT IS A LIE. She is a doper.
She's an obvious doper for breaking her PB by 0.01s at USAs, where her training has timed her to peak?
In a sport where athletes are setting 3 WRs in a single year (before World Championships), and are breaking Soviet-era and EPO-era records every month?
Please be serious.
Gabby's relatives have entered the thread.
She's a liar and doper. She said on tiktok she never missed a test. (she missed 3, but got two over-turned). NO ONE with an Ivy League education misses three tests unless they are doing it on purpose.
She's a doper. A pretty, affable doper, but still a doper.
Posts like these are why I keep coming back to this message board. I come here for insider perspectives, just like this one from hello gabby thomas relative. Insiders like him are connected, know how the system works and we should all thank hello gabby thomas relative for taking time out of his busy schedule of preparing his athletes for the world championships to give his insights to the rest of us.
Harvard's sprint coach, Kebba Tolbert is one of the most well respected coaches in the world. he is extremely active in the coaching education circuit because he has some of the best scientific understanding of the sprints and because he is notoriously meticulous with his data and record keeping.
No top sprinters want to go to college in Boston where there is cold weather. None of the Ivy League schools have strong sprint programs. Most sprinters also cannot get into harvard, and harvard has no scholarships. Do you think Sha'Carri could have gotten into Harvard? He's received a lot of job offers but he enjoys it at Harvard.
Your lack of knowledge regarding Kebba shows just how clueless and ignorant you are.
You still haven't answered the question—how do you know Thomas was hiding in the closet when the tester came and rang her doorbell? And if you or others knew this, why wasn't this information relayed to the AIU during the initial proceedings?
And again, Kebba may be a great coach but your original premise implied that because Kebba is a great coach individually, what Thomas produced as a part of the Harvard team needed to have signaled she could run 21.9 outdoors, and the fact it didn't (according to you), means she's doping. Even though she ran 22.3 indoors and 22.1 outdoors after the end of the 2018 season which already showed she had sub-22 potential.
Thomas herself has said the training she did under Buford-Bailey was way harder than anything she had ever done at Harvard, and obviously she'd get faster under an elite coach who has coached numerous Olympic medalists in the past, and in a training group surrounded by other incredibly fast, pro athletes which definitely wasn't the case at Harvard (maybe it was in her Freshman year, to some extent).
Like is it crazy to suggest that someone who was 6th in Olympic Trials in 2016, and ran 22.1 in 2018 while they were a science major at Harvard, could eventually run 21.6 in 2021 after finally training in a pro group for two straight years? Abby Steiner went from 22.3 to 21.7 in one year and nobody said anything here.

She is more suspicious than Shelby Houlihan.
Are you actually being serious right now, LMAO.
You think an athlete can stay up for 72 hours with no sleep, and step on the track and run 22s flat? Ok, if it wasn't clear before it is now that you're 100% a pathetic troll.
And to compare her to someone who is currently serving a 4-year ban because she ate a contaminated "burrito"? That's rich.
And she said why she raced in Monaco in the Press Conference. Because it's Monaco and she wanted to be there. She probably got a nice appearance fee as well. It doesn't have to be anything deeper than that.
And again—do you think it's possible that an athlete on a doping regimen could dope to win USAs in 21.6, hop off the juice, and then only two weeks later—run a full second slower because they're off the juice? You really think the benefits would disappear that quickly?

My name says it all. She's a doper. Relatives don't want to believe their precious family member could be a cheat, but every doper has family that have been duped, you included.
I'm surprised no one else seemed to notice, but during the athlete introductions, Jackson and Thomas were in the wrong lanes (there seemed to be a little amusement as they introduced Jackson as Thomas and Thomas as Jackson).
The long wait as mentioned earlier in the thread was literally Thomas and Jackson being swapped into their proper lanes and getting their blocks set up again. You see both Thomas and Jackson both kicking down at their blocks just before the start, and this rushed lane change / re-setup could potentially affect one of them?

The last sentence is the key point. If you wis due to her coming off drugs, explain which drugs would have such a significant decline in affect over two weeks and how that would happen.
i have no idea who is using. I assume they all are, but that testing requires athletes to be more moderate and discreet in their use(which is of value). Regardless, GT could have used all the way through, stopped 2 weeks ago, or never used. None of these scenarios explains the decline in performance.
This thread is full of people who want Gabby Thomas to be doping and so will use that as an explanation for anything. If she was doping to the extent she could run 21.60 into a headwind a week ago, this would make it even less likely that she'd run 22.60 now. Doping doesn't even work like that: for professional dopers, they will do it in training, not in competition, the benefits gained from the training would not simply evaporate after 1 meet, that would be asinine.
What is much more likely is that she was jet lagged (as she literally said before the race), slightly perturbed by the last-minute lane swap, and that she is generally better in Hayward Field than anywhere else in the first place. I bet if she had run 21.60 again you guys would've said "who can go 21.60 back to back after travelling on a plane within a week! Obvious doping".

And yet not as dumb as your continued posts. What's your excuse?
A cultured big picture girl like that is going to have a more difficult time than the athletes who travel from amazing European city to amazing European city yet never see anything beyond the hotel room and the track. Gabby posted Instagram pictures of her Monaco adventure, from dining to sightseeing in a helicopter. She said she had a great time but won't make the same mistakes again.
Gabby Thomas is the most obvious doper in the world.
12 days ago she ran 21.60 INTO A HEADWIND.
Today she ran 22.67 WITH A TAILWIND.
More than 1 second difference. Imagine how people would have freaked out if Bolt ran 20.19 and got 7th place in a Diamond league race less than 2 weeks after running 19.19
Distance people have no idea how sprinting works. It could come down to how aggressive and well timed those first 6-8 strides were out of the blocks sometimes. Did she create a solid drive to take her through her race phases? She could be a ramping back up to peak in Budapest? She may have been extra motivated at USAs seeing Richardson run her prelims and was running for her life. I do not have much faith in her current coaching. Let’s see if she turns up in WC but I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t.
I would think the quick turnaround from doing USA's with rounds, then fly to Europe in that short of time was the issue. No US men sprinters went, not Syd, I thought she was listed too.

Oh, yeah, Thomas’s relatives read a conspiracy forum that is primarily populated by distance runners 🙄😂
She should consider training under MVP, the track group co-founded by Stephen Francis arguably the best track coach in the world. MVP primarily works with Jamaican/Caribbean athletes or athletes with Jamaican/Caribbean roots but Gabby has publicly claimed her Jamaican heritage so she should quallify:

Well she responds to hecklers on tik Tok so why not peruse here? She's very thin skinned. This aw-shucks, America's sweetheart schtick is all an act. She's a Ben Johnson level doper. (btw: using British term wanker is a nice touch, huh cuz?)

I predict she will become the next Candace Owens once her career is derailed due to drugs.
Lets see how she does at worlds through the heats then we can see if her inconsistency is a pattern. Then that still doesn't answer the question about potential doping-for example, she could be doping, or she could just be horribly inconsistent. Not sure which is more disappointing!
If Instagram is to be believed, she only arrived to Monaco on Wednesday from her home base seven time zones away, far from ideal. I trust she’ll have more time to adjust ahead of the championships next month.
