Three reasons why her online presence is questionable and needs periodic reminders of how it is damaging to those who follow her are:
Running for Greece is a traitorous act to the country of one’s birth. Amplifying and celebrating narcissism is having a negative impact on society.
Saying you’re brave doesn’t mean you’re brave.
1. if you're mad at her for running for Greece for this reason then you'll have to say the same about Meb, about Lagat, about Aisha Praught Leer, about Chelimo, about Kipyego, about a lottttt of other people. It's clear she ran for Greece because she didn't think she'd consistently cut it in the US, but if given the opportunity you'd take it too.
2. Narcissism is a personality disorder and the word narcissist is thrown around way too much. Sometimes people are just selfish. Sometimes they are self aggrandizing or arrogant or rude. Like I said I think Alexi wants attention and does things for attention, and that is annoying and something she needs to work on. But that doesn't make her a full blown narcissist.
3. Agreed. I don't like "Bravey" either. It's childish and silly. But whatever, people like it.

Yeah, coming to the US as a kid and living there the next 40 years is exactly like repping a country you may have spent three days in

Like I said the reason she chose Greece is clear, but calling it a betrayal to your home country is a little over the top. More opportunity was available to her so she took it. If you were in that position, you probably would too.
No, just pointing out a good representation of a person achieving unmerited celebrity based primarily on narcissism and minimal talent.
Honestly didn’t know who she was, but quick, how many Olympics did you compete in and what’s your highest place in aforementioned Olympics?
Seems like she’s accomplished at least enough to merit throwing out a first pitch at a random game. I was expecting it to be like some teen mom or tik-tok person.
You had to look her up and were impressed by her Olympic credential?! you are not qualified to comment on this situation.
Considering the abomination that was a non-athletic rapper 50 Cent throwing out a first pitch, I’m sure Alexi …an actual athlete….will be fine and should be well received.
