Good choices, the reason I went with Watson is that no matter how bad her season is, she always makes the usatf final. So we guess a sb, another final and continued adidas employment.
Excellent call.

Thought this might be Hurta-klecker’s year to make the team, but she didn’t look great tonight.
Another day another race……. But don’t see her beating rose, Wilson, Atkins and Rodgers(who once again put it together for usas v impressive!)
Next week's lottery numbers please?!🤩

If I’m not mistaken seeding for the semifinals have nothing to do with PBs or SBs or reputations / past achievements. They are based solely on places and times from the prelims. Just the way prelims were run resulted in a “stacked” semi….
Just to clear this whole thing up Semi Seeding has it right - they split the prelims places up varying the prelims. Semi 2 got the same number of prelim 1/2/3/4 placers.
Semi 1 Prelim Finish
Rogers 1 1
Akins 3 1
Willis 1 2
Keegan 2 2
WilsonAj 1 3
WilsonAl 4 3
Richards 2 4
Baker 3 4
Yes, the 2 Wilson's both being 3's caused it to feel heavy. As often happen, both qs came from the weaker semi.

Agreed - the 3 you mentioned look the best at this point, and Hurta-Klecker had to strain really hard to qualify in a 2:00 race. She’s not in the same form as she was late last summer, and I think her 27.96 first 200 came back to bite her. I think as the best 1500 runner in the field she’d be better served by running nearly even splits and trying to come through late. If I were her I would forget about Michaela Rose and try to key off the experienced and tactically savvy Ajee Wilson instead. Or another way of thinking of it, instead of 27.96 - 57.98 - 1:28.59 and then struggling mightily the last 200, try to hit 600 in 1:28.59 off a 29.00 first 200. Dave Wottle that mfer.
