Unless I am wrong, because there are only on USATF.TV or Runnerspace..there is no ability to tape or record..right? Another failing in the way they did this? I have a ten year old grandson LL All Star game..at 5:30 est..so I miss the 800's ..LOL..oh well
They will be available on USATF.TV site afterward, no? For reference 2022
What makes you think that Athing Mu can drop her 4:16 PB down to 4:05? That's a massive drop for someone who doesn't train for the 1500.
Well you are technically correct but Mu did run 1400m of the mile she dropped out of in 3:50 according to Gault's preview, so you have to imagine that if she just kept moving she would be no worse than 4:10, probably 4:08. But that was a long time ago too, so it's not particularly relevant to today.
I do think if Mu is in good shape and is actually trying (not just making a required appearance), assuming the conditions are good she will improve her PR. I don't think even if she was in 4:05 shape that she's easily making the final. Assuming it isn't a jog fest or a bad weather day, if Mu is trying I'm predicting 4:09 - 4:12. I'd love to see her rip something faster but making a conservative prediction here.
Well, it looks like Mu's (and Wiley's) chances to advance to the final just got much better . . . per IG post below, no Cranny in the 1500:

Women's 10k down to 20 competitors w/O'Keefe announcing withdrawl due to ankle staph infection . . . and very possibly 19 if Cranny advances in 1500 and scratches the 10k . . .
I had never heard of any healthy young person getting an "ankle staph infection" before the vaxx was forced on everyone.
You never heard because you are not an MD. Staph is a common bacteria, and the infections they cause are not rare. O'Keefe probably got a blister that became infected.
