Well I can confidently say that you have no idea what you’re talking about. There were 31 men during cross country. 9 Graduated and had no more eligibility. 3 stayed (with one leaving in the fall due to lack of people). 5 left due to non-coaching reasons (religious, difficulty in school, pursuing hobbies, etc.). 3 left due to Dan/Rhonda. NINE left due to Hepburn (these are confirmed with those athletes). And 2 tried to hold out, but left due to not having enough people on the team for next year (3 if you include the individual who’s still there, but plans on leaving). Hepburn messing up Jordan Macintosh’s nationals chances, plus being incompetent to his athletes prior to that led to OVER HALF the remaining team leaving. Dan and Rhonda led to 3. Like I said earlier, this is completely normal for a coaching change. Especially one as big as this one. Also the female athlete who left followed the previous coach (Seitz) to UO. Finally, Seitz’s training injured just as many, if not significantly more, people as Dan’s did. Being a division 1 student athlete is strenuous. You can’t 100% blame the training just because some people inevitably got hurt. (It’s also confirmed that some of those injuries were due to other outside factors too)
