Ha ha haaaa. I gat you. Stop changing the issue from Peds to malaria, AIDS blah blah!
FYI we don't depend on those drugs. We depend on God. Without God who gave those scientists the brains and abilities to manufacture them, they're useless...
For doping to end, we have to deal with the main elephant in the room_ THEIR SOURCE
I just have. He will do it. And fans like you will continue to cheer.
This thread was about the splits. I went to great lengths to dig them up and you derail it with off topic accusations, which you have plenty of other opportunities to post elsewhere. But you are just intent on ruining every thread by forcing it on everyone. We get your stance by now, we knew how you viewed Kiptum without you having to tell us.
I am reporting this from now, because you make threads unreadable.
Then they will have to delete every doping comment made by anyone in any thread. But you are so sure that this performance by Kiptum isn't doped. Yet the scepticism in every thread about him is a common theme.
Before 1990 you would have said the same about Soviet Bloc athletes. That is Kenyans today.
Wrong- I, and others, said it about the ones who were caught.
You may not be intelligent enough to get this but, a few years back I know a PT who was basically one of those- they all dope not one of them is clean fools.
I asked him if he would mind of I started posting things about him cheating his way through PT school and other negative things that could hurt his career even though I had zero proof.
He hasn't posted his stupid rants since.
Yes- a lot of Kenyans test positive. Yes, it's absolutely possible that ANY top runner is guilty.
But there is no way anyone can guarantee unless they've actually been there to see the person using.
End of story.
THIS is exactly what the moderators have to put an end to- but they're too weak.
It is not free speech to, it's cowardice. Until anyone fails a test they're legit.
Only a fraction of dopers are caught. Most aren't. That you think they are "legit" unless they are caught is like saying all mobsters are law-abiding citizens till they are convicted.
BTW: I hate to say it, but I have no clue what Kiptum looks like. This would be like saying, I don’t know what Michael Jordan looks like
sad
I don’t follow basketball, but I follow running
Truth is, almost every single great marathoner could walk down the main streets of America and be un-recognized for hours. Track and field is more appreciated in Europe than it will ever be in America. That includes LDR.
I don't understand how any human can run 27:50 10k near the end of a marathon from a fueling perspective. Even with EPO you still need a massive mount of glycogen reserves to be able to put down the power required for a 27:50 10k. There's something new being used in the latter stages of the marathon we're not fully aware of...whether it be ketones or some sort of concentrated glycogen+caffeine boost.....
People have been trying forever to eliminate the wall at 20 miles but this cat ran the last bit there like he had an extra storage compartment in his body to draw on late stage glycogen.
At this rate, it seems like in 5 years or so Eliud will only be the 3rd or 4th fastest marathoner in history.
And that's exactly where a robotic late bloomer should slot. Celebrating Kipchoge was always the equivalent of celebrating the comparative weakness of the event.
If late bloomers are dominating any activity that is devastating news because it means the brilliant prodigies either aren't interested or aren't invited.

Do you even understand what you just said? I am the one believing in his performance until he tests positive. You are the one with scepticism about his performance. I am not the one with anything to prove here. Why do you make out that I support dopers. Where is the proof. Put up or STFU

And to re-iterate, I am 'not so sure', why would I be? I am not sure about any performance. I am just not carrying on way way or the other without evidence. 'Not sure' is a long way from accusations.

Yea , this is what interests me too … but didn’t Kiptum miss his drink right before unleashing that 13:49 ? (Ofc the drinks from 25k and before could still have given him the energy , but still surprising to get that fast without even the psychological hit of sugar in your mouth )
Ignorant East African mentality. Head in the sand, conveniently ignoring the many, many Kenyans popped for doping since “robust” testing was finally implemented. You can’t seriously pretend that our concerns aren’t based on ample evidence at this point!
Some ludicrous stupidity here. Since you already think all Kenyans dope, what are you saying? That Kelvin Kiptum has discovered a magical PED cocktail that trumps all? Or is he doping and others with more experience aren't ? And why didn't these PEDs work for proven Kiwi doper Zane Robertson who has a much, much, ridiculously slower PB?
Unfortunately, you’re wrong. The situation in Europe is very same - every single great marathoner could walk down the streets of Berlin/Paris/London/Stockholm/ Prague/Budapest etc. and be un-recognized for hours.
Expect for the likes of Bolt…track & field athletes remain unknown to the general public.

Wait - so you're saying that Kiptum's massive superiority has to be explained by a big difference in talent to everybody else, but Zane Robertson proves peds don't work because he is much slower?
Even if anything you just said made sense, we ought to see first whether any other Kenyans start running ridiculous marathon times over the next year or two.
Kiptum might be a lot faster than every other Kenyan except a 38 year old. Perhaps he'd be running 2:07 without drugs and other elite Kenyans wouldn't break 2:10, just like they couldn't before EPO arrived on the scene.
There have been many Kenyans busted with times much slower than Robertson, BTW. An Ethiopian was busted last week with slower times than Robertson.

With off the charts performances it's always a "weak event". What a load of cobblers. It's doping.

There is evidence. Most of his fellow countrymen are doping. Very few are caught. He is running way faster than they are. His performance was ridiculous. He could run 1.50 and you would still say there's "no evidence".
