Check back in 10 years when he is unemployed and an alcoholic. He should be thinking about prom and trying to kiss a girl. His development is way out of whack now. He will rush every relationship and likely be accused of date rape.
Dude... he's 17. It went a year and a half but at youngest he was 15 when it started, possibly 16. 16 is the age of consent in many states -- I know it's more complicated than just the ages with her being his coach, but at his age she may not even have been his first sex partner. He will most likely be just fine.
i am not arguing that its minimal or non existent or whatever. im arguing that A LOT of it comes from the victim mentality that our society is in love with.
The “victim mentality” you keep referencing is when someone tries to claim victim status even when they aren’t a victim. In this case, the boy IS a victim. Seriously, you just look worse with each post. Stop digging.
A similar case to this happened in Idaho a few years ago. I think it might have involved a teacher instead of a coach. The teacher was male, and the female "victim" pleaded that they not find him guilty. The jury found him innocent, on the basis that there was no victim, so there was no crime.
I lean towards women committing the vast majority of sexual abuse of children, male and female, but society refusing to even see the majority of it, much less even attempt to bring legal charges, much less convict.
Kyle tries to report the teacher/student affair to the police, but when they find out which teacher is involved, all they can say is, "Nice.""Miss Teacher Ba...
males and females are different. unfortunately, this is one of the only areas of life where people can kind of acknowledge that. well, some people can acknowledge that.
still, should there be different rules for different sets of people? Law should be as objective as possible.
you're right, males develop slower emotionally than females.
most 17 year old guys are maaaybe on par developmentally with a 15 year old girl.
this is worse than if the coach was male and the athlete a 17 year old female.

a 15 year old boy is about as developed as a 13 year old girl. think about that. this is disgusting.
Well, he was just seventeen, and you know what I mean And the way he looked was way beyond compare So how could I dance with another? (Oh) When I saw him standing there?
