So you're saying Wiley can run 4:25?
We changed the title. It was initially just titled, "Camel City Invite"
So you're saying Wiley can run 4:25?
You don't think she can recover from a mile in 7 days? Athletes double all the time in 2-3 day meets, I'm sure she can manage. I think it's actually better to have the mile a week before instead of two.
Wiley's triple on Friday on a 200m flat track
@5:10 - 600m - 1:29.77
@5:40 - 800m - 2:09.76
@6:00 - 1000m - 2:51.56

That 600m time is blazing. Huge PB for her.
Wow. No way Tuohy can do that.

I assume that you mean there’s no way that Tuohy could do the 600 time. Or are you postulating that Tuohy could not run those times within that time span?
The 600 time that Wiley ran is the most impressive. That was a strong effort. Tuohy did run a 1:35 four years ago so I wouldn’t doubt that she would be capable of going under 1:30 now. In terms of the 800, I don’t believe that Tuohy has run one in competition as a collegiate athlete. In high school she did go 2:09.43 and that was probably 3-4 years ago. Tuohy’s 1000 time is quite a bit slower than Wiley’s mark but I believe it was recorded as a freshman or sophomore in high school. That said, I would bet that Tuohy is capable of all of those times.
Wiley definitely seems to be better in that 800-1500/mile sweet spot. The times she ran are impressive given that they were all within that short time frame.
Well if you miss the 600, that is the 1st leg of it so she can't do the triple. Sounds like you agree but twisted it for some reason. Tuohy woukd go 1:31-2:10-2:52 in same span.
^ I was actually incorrect about Tuohy being much slower in the 1000. Her high school time was 2:47.86

No, I don’t agree.
Those times were all from when Tuohy was in high school and she’s much stronger now. Because of that strength, she would also be able to do that within that time frame. I would guess her to be < 1:30, 2:07-20:08ish, and 2:45.
I’m not disparaging Wiley or her marks and effort this past weekend. I’m just stating that Tuohy is more than cayof also doing that.
Sure thing. If she can do that right now, she would run 4:20 at Camel City.
Wiley is very fast.
When I saw this triple my first thought (sadly) was Wilson and the quadruples and triples she did for Huntington. We know the story there now.
Wiley needs to leave Huntington if she wants legitimacy. She may be fast but everything she runs will be suspected until she does. I used to think this was an unfair POV until I read up on her history with Huntington coaches in HS and the current case and allegations.

I think Tuohy could do all the times except maybe the 1:29. That is the only question mark

I guess you are predicting Wiley runs a 4:20 then?
What? Did you see Wiley's times? Her 1000 was 2:51.5. If Tuohy did the 3 and ran 2:45 for the 1000, that's 6.5 seconds faster. Project that to a mile amd it is 10 seconds.

So what kind of shape do you think Wiley is in right now?
Wiley's times indicate 4:27 while the Tuohy claims put her close to 4:20. Typical Tuohy claims. Somebody post a projection for Valby and be prepared for Tuohy fans to attack..

Yeah, that was the time that I wondered about. Her 1:35 mark was from high school so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to guess that she could crack 1:30. As I said, Tuohy is much stronger as a runner now and her speed is often underestimated.
As to Wiley coyote stating she should run 4:20 at Camel City 😂
The track is flat and not particularly fast. My guess is nobody goes under 4:30. I’m guessing in the 4:32ish range. That flat track WR 800 time that Clayton Murphy ran at Camel City (1:45.8 or something like that) is super impressive. We’re more than likely not going to see those types of results.

Who attacked? I even gave Wiley kudos. What, exactly do you want?
You sound like an ultra sensitive whiner fanboi.
I am looking at Wiley prs and trying to understand them. These are all from May/June 2022.
400 57.12
800 2:04.00
1600 4:26.16
3200 10:38.57 (finishing 3rd in race)
And now she runs 1:29.77 for 600 and follows it up with the 800 and 1000. The 3200 seems out of whack with the rest. The 600 seems out of whack with the 400. But maybe someone else can explain this?
