Just a simple robbery where nothing is stolen and where the cops did not bother to look into the murder of an upper middle class white Jewish kid and where the media showed no interest.
Dems deny that there are risks with covid vaccines. Dems deny any Republican election victory (Florida in 2000, "voter suppression" in Ohio in 2004, "Russian collusion", Stacey Abrams in 2018, etc). Dems deny biology. Dems deny basic economics.
Need I go on?
Plenty of Dems have done worse things than this guy too. So many of you folks. Plus you are a liar.
Teachers having sexual relations with HS students was not unheard of in the 1970s and earlier and was not considered something that needed to be disciplined.
By the 90s it was big trouble
By whom was it "not considered something that needed to be disciplined"? Mostly men, I suspect.
Many women who were HS and college students in the 1970s and got hit on and worse by their male teachers, professors and coaches had a very different view back then and in the 80s.
The reason "it was big trouble" by the 90s is that during the 70s and 80s, girls and women made the case to US education officials that when teachers, professors and coaches pursued their students sexually, it amounted to sexual harassment and should count as unlawful sex discrimination under Title IX.
These women are nearly 60 years old now. Come on, this is not fair to hold someone accountable for actions that took place half a century ago.
Sounds like you think it was unfair to hold the clergy of the Roman Catholic Church accountable for all the sodomy, rapes and other kinds of sexual abuse that priests, monks and bishops committed against children in the 20th century - and which the Church authorities covered up - because many years elapsed between the time these men committed their heinous crimes and the time their victims grew up and their accounts of the abuse they suffered finally started to be taken seriously by the press and the public.
If you were to ask women who are nearly 60 and older about the unwanted physical contact they experienced at the hands (and other body parts) of grown men - including grown men in positions of authority over them - when they were teenagers, I suspect many will tell you that such experiences have lasting effects.
When you're a teenage girl and a grown man who is your coach, teacher, school principal, boss, friend's father, clergyman, neighbor or just some random stranger comes up to you and gropes your breasts, grabs your butt cheeks, sticks his tongue down your throat, puts his hand up your skirt or shorts, rubs his hard dick up against your backside, or "grabs you by the pxssy," it tends to leave an indelible memory.
Let's Run is a weird place. A thread about a serial predator gets turned into a "what about" thread. No, the vast majority of people have not "done worse".
I do wonder how this gets investigated now when the statute of limitations has to be long past. That isn't because I don't think it SHOULD, just that I'm surprised it COULD.
Run Ragged does a good job explaining why there is such a lag between the actual events and recognition of the deeds and punishment. At first, I thought, why the large delay? The world was much different back when some of these things were tolerated (they were never acceptable).

Is that what Babington is accused of? Groping breasts, grabbing butts, putting his hand up skirts?
I always thought Babington was a bit of a douche. Looked down his nose at other runners.
No, he wasn’t good enough to look down on other runners. I knew him for years and competed against him many times. He was an ok guy, I know what you’re saying, a little attitude but I liked him. It’s unfortunate that he may have had relations with younger runners. It’s just a matter of discipline to keep that strict line between coach and your runners and don’t make unwanted advances.

That's part of what bugged me: that he wasn't good enough to look down his nose, but he did anyway. But I didn't really know him otherwise, so ok. Thanks...
Appeal period is over. His case is final. Permanently ineligible. Committed criminal acts, evaded prosecution and SafeSport stepped up and got him out.
