This may be difficult, but try to visualize the words that are being used. Think...think...think...
It may help to go inside a quiet, dark room for a while to help you out.

Actually if I could edit my post I'd say "the mindset of a wounded tiger trapped inside a truck driver's body." Sounds a little more poetic.
Those sessions do not seem tough at all.
What sort of rest would you guys take; or was it all over hurdles/barriers?
You have a knack for identifying the obvious, buddy. Are you a detective by day?

Is this the same Chris Horton I think ran for a H-School in Rochester, NY back in the 1970s? With workouts like that he never broke 4 in the mile, correct?

Several weeks after Montreal at the old US/USSR meet at the University of Maryland...the Russians went 1,2....Mike Roche was 3rd and Marsh 4th...all in relatively slow times..8:30's-8:40's I believe..
Happened to be reading old T&FN or RW at a friends the other day...noticed this result..only because times were so slow post Montreal.
10-4 good buddy, here's your confirmation:
From Miguel Santiago Roche: "Was a hot day as I recall (late August?)..dead legs...really didnt feel much like racing but wanted to get out of NJ for a weekend after Montreal. Don't recall much of the race, but do recall beating Henry by a step or two in a time that would embarrass both of us today. (obviously him more than me)."
indeed...
which gets me thinking DOn Clary deserves a thread of his own. rumor has it clary ran steeple, 5,000 and 1500 (?) ALL at 84 OL trials...
his response was "these pussy's only run 2 - 3 heats.. i've run over 20K hard running the last 5 days"
any stories yourself malmo ? how about Clary's training back in the day ??
Anyone got any better pictures? This don't look like no stinkin' truck driver!
