Jakob also ran 8:26 at 16 (nearly 17), which is worth 1140 IAAF points, about six more than Niels' 800m, ten more than the 3k, 20 more than Niels' 1500m.
Melkeneh Azize a 17 year old? Come on. Just look at his profile picture. Who believes that? Born on January 1, of course. Just a coincidence so many Ethiopian juniors were born in January, no doubt. And you don't even mention that this World U20 gold and bronze medalist already at "17" already ran 3:33 LAST YEAR at "16" years old. Laughable.
The Dutch kid is probably doping - like most top runners today. But we aren't allowed to say that kind of thing now on Letsrun. Uncomfortable facts are "derailing the thread". As they should do, when the thread is blind fandom.
I thought we eliminated doping in running once we banned Russians? That's what the letsrun and teevee told me. Should be squeaky clean now
So how do you fans know that the Dutch runner isn't doping when confidential athlete surveys have indicated doping is endemic at the championship level?

You and Casual Observer keep referring to those studies, which was taken at the Pan Arab games, and the 2013 WCs and which found that 57% at the Pan Arab Games admitted doping, and 43% at the World Athletics Championships admitted doping.
Now the first thing you should notice is that the percentage is far higher at the Pan Arab Games, which shouldn't really surprise anybody but the hardcore doping apologists who have convinced themselves (they've shouted it so often at others) that it's 'racist' to believe certain nationalities dope more than others. Taking a poll at the Pan Arab games asking if you doped, is similar to taking a poll at a Star Trek convention asking are you on the asperger's spectrum.
Now the second thing you should do is to understand that a large percentage of athletes at the World Championships are from the nations represented at the Pan Arab Games, and of course similar doping hot spots such as East Africa, Nigeria, Russia, Ukraine, China, the sprinters of just about every nation etc. Further given that the World Championships is far more elite than the Pan Arab Games, you would expect doping to be far higher at the World Championships. But it's not, it's much lower.
So 57% of the athletes at the Pan Arab Games admitted doping. So it's reasonable to infer from that, that at least 75%+ of the African/Arab/Russian athletes at the World Championships are doping, as well as most sprinters and likely field events. Given that they must make up at least 60 or 70%? of the athletes at the World Championships, then we can infer that the doping percentage for non-African non sprint non field events, is actually very low, probably less than 10%.
So to accuse a 17 year old Dutch middle-distance kid of doping on the basis of these polls...

As you said - 43% of athletes admitted to doping at the World Championships. Your figures in which you suggest this was largely certain nationalities and only some events are merely your own speculation and not supplied by the data. Outside those surveys there is further evidence existing that strongly suggests that drug use is to be found in all sports and all countries at the elite level. Added to that is that is that the percentage of dopers caught is only a fraction of those estimated to be doping. That means the likelihood of any top athlete doping today is very high - including those discussed in this thread.
age records is a mostly worthless record. it's all about the endgame and how fast you are when you're a pro who is competing against other pros. many of the fastest high school runners out there are only the fastest because they have parents/coaches that made them run before HS and they already moved up their mileage to 100+ while many other high school students slowly progress to 30 -> 40 -> 50 ->........... ->100+. that's why there are so many high school proteges that end up losing to high school "nobodies" while in college.

Here is the absolute age record. You can see the name of Azize listed at 3:
So this thread is still eradicating posts that question how this kid is achieving his times. Welcome to the doping-denial echo chamber. However, ignoring possibilities won't make them go away.

I remember you from last year. You gave a free accusation of doping to the young 18 years Tunisian Ahmed Hafnaoui that got a gold medal in swimming at Tokyo.
His coach got his formation at the "Institute Moulay Rachid".
So we aren't too far from "Pan-Arabism" of Coevett please to write.
