There was questioning around here about teenage female phenoms that go through physical changes (sometimes late in their teen years) and don’t regain form (whether or not an injury happens around those other physical changes.)
It is probably best to not be speculating here, and let things play out.
Jenna is always "injured." Jenna made a HUGE mistake going to BYU. After a fantastic Junior year of HS, she didn't run at all Senior year of HS, and graduated a semester early from HS- (B.S.!!!). Don't know if Stanford recruited her after her Junior year of HS XC, but she should have gone to Stanford just for the academics, because her running career has long been over since- before senior year of HS began. Remember Amber Trotter, Claudia Lane, Brie Oakley, Sarah Baxter, Kim Mortensen- all total failures at the college level. Claudia Lane was done after Jr Year of HS XC. Jenna came almost last place in that Oklahoma Cowboy race with a joke time.
Not buying at all that she graduated ONE SEMESTER early from High School. Ya right. My kids' high schools in CA don't allow that. Also- she never ran after Junior Year of HS, so BYU was dumb to recruit her. Fact is- she is always "injured" and had a joke time of almost 27 minutes and almost last place at the Oklahoma Cowboy race- Natalie Cook- who won Footlocker and RunningLane (Because woke NIKE refused to do NXN in WOKE Oregon Dec. 2021 because of COVID FEARS!!!!!) won it. Looking strong Natalie!

She did graduate after the first semester of her senior year of hs. There is nothing for you to buy. It is a fact. Some schools allow early graduation and some don't. What your kids' school allows does not matter.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen doesn’t look like a typical 17-year-old. He doesn’t play like one, either. Allen graduated from high school early to begin his college football career this fall.
Most states permit students to graduate 1 year early. Hutchins only graduated 1 semester early. Many football players graduate 1 semester early to join their college team for spring training.

Hold on here, cowboy. Hutchins’ Senior Year of HS was 20-21.
“Hutchins won her second TSSAA Large Schools individual cross country title at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville in a 5-kilometer time of 16:30.84. She sped out to an early lead and blew away the field, winning by 95 seconds.
“Her individual title capped one of the most historic runs in high school cross country history. She broke 17 minutes in six of the seven races she ran, including being the first prep to break 16 minutes on a 5K cross country course.”
I double and triple-checked the information before I posted, and yet, I was wrong. I think a photograph I was looking at online was mislabeled, adding to my confusion (but it has since been corrected.)

I suggest you recant your statement and publicly apologize.
It's YOU who should recant your statement and publically apologize.
Hutchins' freshman year was 2018 - 2019.
Her sophomore year was 2019 - 2020.
Her junior year was 2020 - 2021.
Don't believe me? Go check the Footlocker national championship cross country race for fall 2019 where she's listed as a sophomore. Which means fall 2020 she was a junior until spring 2021.
Remember 2x Footlocker Champ Claudia Lane- never ran after Junior year of HS. At least she chose Academics at Dartmouth. Remember Amber Trotter, Sarah Baxter, Brie Oakley. All MASSIVE failures after High School. Brie Oakley a 20-year old High School senior- ridiculous- her parents held her back 2 years for some reason. Backfired. Sad- but Jenna Hutchins needs to be added to this list, and is done. Jenna hasn't run since Junior year of High School. She made a huge mistake "finishing" HS a semester early to train at BYU, and made an even bigger mistake to go to BYU as a non-Mormon. The girls on the team are all hard-core Mormons, and are all married before Senior year. Don't know if Jenna was recruited by Stanford as a HS Junior (don't know her GPA), but she should have chosen Stanford for the Academics. I predict that Jenna will leave BYU by the end of her sophomore year.
This thread is getting silly. Hutchins is obviously very talented, but has had a tough start to her NCAA career...just like most HS runners. Calling her a bust is just stupidity. Whether its injury or adjustment issues, give her a break...she has plenty of time to get things working.
