Glock 19 is good for your generic CCW, but it's a bit heavy. I've run with mine a few times though - on a nature trail that's close to a homeless camp, on another nature trail close to a very sketchy area, and in mountain lion country.
Young lady on a run last week gets abducted and killed and we have people on this thread ridiculing this inquiry? It’s a legitimate concern, grow up. Crime is out of control. I carry not because I want to but because I want to defend myself if necessary. Work in and around Chicago, in the last 2 months witnessed 2 daytime carjackings and an assault.
It's just hard for those of us who are not American to imagine such a crazy scenario as feeling the need to run with a gun. I don't think I've ever even seen a gun in real life (I would think this is normal for most of the world). I see your lawmakers as extremely weak.

Well you never know when some gun violence is gonna erupt and its better to be a good guy with a gun than a sitting duck.
I felt far more unsafe around Camden yards than in the "M'AGA(ish) country" in rural Baltimore county (think Monkton). Yet there were more legal guns in the latter

I live in the UK. Even I've seen a gun in real life! And, no I don't just mean on our Firearms Police or our soldiers.
If I lived in the USA, I'd have a gun. Whilst it's generally pretty safe (not as bad as the media like to pretend at times) its prudent to think about self defence when in the arse end of nowhere, where it seems the loons tend to congregate. I saw a story on Slowtwitch of a guy out riding out in the hills (legally) and some yokels tried to run him off the road in their trucks and threw things at him. He was concealed carrying and his actions probably saved his life!

I plan to carry a p238 or my p365 micron in one of these. The second one is a semi large, so I plan to search for a small one with the same design. I found that searching concealed carry holsters for females yields more results, as they are usually more form fitting.
I have the Springfield Hellcat and generally carry with the 13+1 magazine when I do choose to carry. Standard sights, no optics. I don't carry when out running or cycling.
A good choice. The only drawback is it has that Glock type of safety which is all in the trigger. Staying with the Springfield line, you could get an XDS in 9mm. It has the Glock type of trigger safety and a grip safety as well. Reduced round count but has magazines that can hold 7, 8, or 9 rounds in a single stack magazine. Light and thin.
I have had the XDS 3.3 in 9mm for quite a few years. I have used it as an EDC before and usually with the 8rd magazine (8+1). Yes, it does have a grip safety as well as a trigger safety which I do like. With the Hellcat you just are able to carry more rounds in a small pistol. They are close in weight although the Hellcat is a little wider due to the double stack instead of the single stack design of the XDS.
