Kilian has been running since he was born. He is a natural monster. Keep calling him juiced, Kilian can laugh as he sits on a bank of 1mil+ with a wife and kid. L
Can't seem to Google any results for this. Care to elaborate?
It was 2012, 13, or 14, can't remember now. The course is basically like a 50k version of Hardrock - lots of vert and etc... and of course plenty of switchbacks. It was a Sky Running points series race that year (maybe first time), so Kilian and other Euros came. Most of the Sky Running series races are held in the Alps, and typically the rules are more like cross-country (re: flag to flag), meaning cutting switchbacks isn't against the rules depending where course markers are placed. But that doesn't fly here in the states with environmental rules requiring staying on the trails proper. Bottom line: Kilian was chasing Max King and began cutting switchbacks to catch up. Witnesses complained to RD Karl Meltzer, who ran out on course to set Kilian straight, but was unable to get the message across. He eventually "won", but under protest. Since there was $10k on the line for the winner, Karl decided to DQ Kilian from that (went to Max), but allow his Sky Running points to stand due to the inconsistency in the rules.

This sounds like a reasonable mixup
Still debatable, given RD Karl actually went out on course to alert him and Kilian does speak English. But who knows really. It turned into a big food fight on the net at the time - heck probably a thread on it here.
It's a known fact that doping tests are a joke in the trail world. Given that, Killian is phisically and technically on another level and almost untouchable from his debut. Even a doped Walmsley can't touch him, sorry.
You should question the whole trail scene for doping issues if you're concerned.
To be fair, he has always been like this. Like when he went and down Everest twice and then ran UTMB. I honestly don't know if normal rules apply to him.
Hear of any seven-time Tour de France winners? This is exaclty what people said. GOAT, etc. No.
Post Preview Kilian is the best ever but with a very large distance... He have more records than anyone since the beginning in a lot of distances/disciplines. Has more range than any Runner ever had ( from vk to 100miles). Never see a Runner of is caliber almost without injuries. If he doped is carreer was over long time ago ( running is not cycling). Also if he is doping, all of others we could say too, like Lance all top cyclists were doping... 4 best races in ultratrail Kilian wins 3, beating the 3 records in space of 3 months, from 42 k to 170k, with the same shoes and 7 days ago Kilian have had covid!!! Sierra zinal, the Race he doesn't won( but has the record), two weeks ago, probably Kilian has already with the vírus, altough negative(close contact) Sierre Zinal 9 wins Zegama 10 wins Hardrock 4 winsU
Second place in each race also beat the records at both.
Zegama was rare, near perfect conditions this year with Mangini pushing him. Nienke Brinkman smashed the womens record as well.
UTMB you had Jim set the pace for 120+k’s then Blanchard was pushing him the rest of the way.
I get that it all raises questions but each year elite trail competition gets better and better and if conditions are good then it can make for super fast time.
Also good course conditions at Hardrock, and he had Francois with him for most of the race.

Utmb 4 wins
Goat of The Goats 💯
Not to mention that he beat Bekele, who is widely regarded as the distance GOAT on this board, in his own event a couple years ago. Dude's talent is simply off the chart. You have to wonder what he would achieve, had he taken running on flat roads seriously.

I don't have to wonder. When he took running a flat 10k seriously, he was nearly chicked, children beat him by over a minute and he was thumped by 17 local Norwegian club hobby-joggers.
