It must be because we're all closeted homosexuals.
Thank you for the opportunity to bask in your virtual masculinity. We are forever grateful.
Why be gay and a wimp about it?
Because of justified fear as to how family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and people not even known may react when they find out a person is gay. Some common responses are scorn, derision, anger and insults. Other common ones are lack of job opportunities, hostile workplace, being fired. A less common response, but still one to be worried about is violence.
Such fears have lessened significantly over the last 20 years, but they are still valid fears. Just look at some of the comments on this message board.
Separately and somewhat ironically, I always assumed you were gay and kind of wimpy, judging from your posts.
Love those downvotes. I can show that to my friends who, years ago, questioned that LetsRun is a homophobic, misogynist, racist cesspool. Thank god we're saving women's sport here, otherwise there'd be nothing.
The current investigation examined the influence of the media on gay, lesbian, and bisexual (GLB) identity using both survey and in-depth interview approaches. In Study 1, 126 GLB survey respondent...
several incorrect statements - these 'things' are actually not news worthy, there is no 'persistent homophobia', it does not take 'courage' to 'come out' as gay, no one 'assumes' everyone is straight

If it’s not newsworthy then why are multiple major news outlets publishing articles about it? What evidence do you have that there isn’t persistent homophobia? How do you know it doesn’t take courage to come out as gay; have you done it?
Why this left wing obsession with a tiny number of oddballs?
Extreme right-wing Republicans are the ones who appear to be obsessed. As I noted earlier in this thread, Republicans have introduced over 200 anti-LGBTQ bills this year alone, and they declared homosexuality to be abnormal in their official party platform in Texas. You may be straight, but your facts are not.
