I think I take home between 5 and 6 thousand a month, though I don't actually pay attention to the amount. My wife makes about the same. House is paid, so taxes + upkeep + utilities, etc.
Take home is just over $8,000 a month (includes my 401k deductions, insurance, etc.). My better half is around $7,500 a month.
We rent for $1800 a month. The rest we stash away. Both only had about a two years left in PSLF program and our student loans will be wiped. Other than just over a $300 monthly car payment, we have zero debt.

We also refuse to buy a home in this market.
Wait so how are you getting the loans forgiven when you clearly earn enough to pay them?
Threads like this are a really great way to get bogus data because people love to lie about being rich. Asking what percentage of takehome goes to housing, leaving out actual $, might yield better results.
For me, roughly 25% of take-home pay goes to housing.

I work for a qualifying non-profit and have made almost all of the 120 payments...
My take home is just over 4k. My husband's is around 5k. Mortgage is about 1300 (includes our taxes). We live a modest lifestyle but live in a fairly low cost of living area so we don't have to stress about money at all.
You make a 100 something a year a stay with your mom?
Yeah 170k and living at home lol. I was in the city before, but moved back because of covid. Have done a few trips, like last summer went to Europe. But I should move out soon... just don't know where is worth going. $2-3k+ for an appt in the city seems like a total waste.
Take home: 35k a month on salary. Not including bonuses and stock.
Housing payment: 8.9k currently but about to close on a home that will push that to 13.5k
If you really take home 35k in salary (same ballpark as me), then why TF do you have a $13.5K mortgage payment? Or are you paying extra every month? That's more than enough income to quickly own your home outright.
We live in an expensive area and just upgraded homes to support a larger family and get in a good school district. That mortgage payment is on a 3.2m home. We are also somewhat young (mid 30s), haven't had this sort of take home for that long and have a a comparatively low liquid net worth vs our incomes (around 3m). Cash flow is not our problem so we elected to remain as liquid and invested as possible.
Take home per month is around $9,000. No mortgage payment (house is paid for). No car loans. Only use credit card for booking travel (hotel, rental car).
Biggest monthly expense is groceries. Tithe and donate to schools, other organizations.
Should be able to save more, but hard to do without a clear goal.
Mid 30’s, no kids. Just trying to enjoy life, work hard, and run a few miles.
