Being a pro runner to the extent these guys are where they do nothing else is a dream at a serious expense; you are not investing for your future. What's gonna happen to legit the entire tinman squad after they burn out after getting too old at age 34? Get a sub par job, smoke weed and hip around the Boulder joint? If that's what you want then by all means, but I think it's smarter to pursue running post college if you want while maintaining a part or even full time career, so you can become a decent runner while moving up in work so you can make 200k a year in your 50s as opposed to 50k a year. Without a plan like that, there is no chance they are able to retire later in life, and boy will that suck
This is a gross overgeneralization. It's possible that happens to someone on the team, but if it does it likely would have happened anyways. Some of the guys will have great options once they hang it up from running - for example Brogan worked a full-time corporate job for a long time, likely just stopped 1-2 years ago when he moved to Boulder. Connor Winter majored in mechanical engineering at CU and started his own company. Sam Parsons will be in a great position for a marketing job based on his work setting up TME's social media presence - as much as people hate on it, we're here talking about them and not about other groups of similar abilities.
