Nice, yes. If he failed in the first one, he really should consider this.

If you raced against him,. maybe you're still fast enough to run the first 45-49 sub 4. Lagat can but he won't.
i don´t see 45-49 sub 4 happen any time soon. the great lagat stopped maintaining his mile speed almost 7 years ago and trained for long distance/marathon. i think his speed has suffered from this. the fastest time for a 45+ runner is tony whiteman's 4:10 indoors, cardiff, 2017 (not the official world record, i think). honestly, i can't imagine anyone to run 10 seconds faster than tony.
so, what's his real result?

Why did you feel the need to include your religion?
Why do you care if he does?
Just more insufferable attention-seeking from the most tragically narcissistic figure in the sport. Question Robert - why exactly do you like him? What is actually likeable?
If it was private for a documentary then why even publicize it to begin with? Just to feign relevancy that's all. Same reason he shows up at pro meets he's not even competing in and jogs around the infield or runs alongside guys racing like he did at the US 5km road champs - it's all just serial attention seeking.
I actually feel sad for the guy - like his whole existence/ego/self-esteem is tied to running. Somebody else pointed this out - why would you even care? The guy has nothing better on New Years Eve in NYC then to go and run a mile? My goodness.

so close. mini docu tracksmith yt channel.
Interesting pacing with the gap developing between Hobbs and Mason. When they were right at 3:00 with 400 to go I thought he had it in the bag. If Nick stays healthy I think he will go sub 4 in a real race.
Not sure if that was the plan, but Ferlic should NOT have dropped in in front of Nick. He mildly overcooked it the first 440, but his big issue was really what he did when Kessler took over. Let Nick run free, Hobbs may be young but he also is good enough to look back and slow/speed accordingly for Nick. It looked to me like Nick had to slow to stay behind Mason, and then wasted energy having to bridge the gap to Hobbs and get back on pace.

Achingly close. Maybe started a bit too fast.
Looked like Mason slowed him down
Matt Taylor just sent me the video. All I did was fast forward and fast forward until they were on last lap.
I just wanted to see the time. Wish they had streamed it live. At least now they’ll be another chance but I’m assuming that one Nick won’t be the sole focus?
New Year’s Eve I feel people would have watched this. I would have pulled it up on my phone on way home from a dinner party.
Too bad covid shut down the gala as I was going to be there in person. Great idea.
Its hard not to root and like this dude. Thankfully hes got all year to get this accolade. Mad props for anyone that can keep themselves in this shape for so long.
Gutted for him. I reckon he should manage to do it some time this year though

And here’s the YouTube link:
https://youtu.be/hTsCyLNuVi4Webb, Ritz, and Hall should join him. I’d love to see that. I bet they could all do that. Al Sal to coach.
So you call yourself a fan of the sport and were invited to attend the Gala but complain about fast forwarding through the video just to find the time? Man you really are insufferable.
