Short tempo today. Should be relatively painless.
2-mile warm-up, 2-mile tempo, 2-mile cool-down
My schedules calls for me to do 22 miles today, but I'm going to shorten that to 10. Going to head out right now, and get it done before dinner, while everyone lays around doing nothing, post-presents. I'll do my 22 tomorrow, when nothing is going on.
Unseasonably warm here today went out with the wife for a easy 3, I continued for another 5. Life is good, Merry Christmas LetsRun people.
I doubled with 10x500m hill sprints in the morning + warm up and cool down and then a 5 mile easy run in the afternoon. We do Christmas lunch so that 5 miles includes several returns home for a bathroom break 💩
Ran 5 earlier with the family, looking for a short double including some speed work tonight. Probably after an early dinner.
I'm not Christian, so this is not a particularly special time for me, other than my culture's penchant for eating Chinese food on this day.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate.
Ran 5 miles
I looked beautiful in my Tracksmith gear I got for Christmas
Women were blowing me kisses
I ran 5 miles and lost a few pounds of water. 81 degrees today.

No run today. Some things are more important than running.

I'm guessing you have very little kids. I didn't run at all those Christmases, either. Too much Barbie and Lego stuff to build, twist-ties to take off toy-parts and plastic packaging to struggle-open.
Now my kids are at the age where, after opening their (now much more expensive) presents, they say, "Could you please go run or something," as they retreat to their hermetically-sealed rooms.

Thank you, dude...I've been wanting to end your games for years.
I've looked you up and found enough information.
I'll be reporting your alcoholic nature to the parties that have an influence!
Letsrun can act..but I'm not acting for them.
Sorry for your future dude.
Ran four miles easy with son. Got him the Garmin watch he wanted and he was excited to use it. Hope everyone had a great day!
Yup.. teenagers don't wake up to see Santa.... 5 easy miles..... on snow moblie trails w microspikes on... before presents

My plan was to go out after the presents were opened, around 8:30 AM, and run 7 miles from Venice Beach--we're staying at a motel--north past the Santa Monica pier and back. 3.5 out, easy to steady, and then push it hard back.
I had the best run of the year, bar none. 9:20 pace average with the last three at 8:48, 8:35, 8:25, at an average HR of 154, or about 83%. At age 63, with a year of back troubles and only six weeks' worth of running, and no run faster than 10:05 pace until this week, that was a barn burner. It gives me hope for the future. Nothing hurt. Everything felt grooved. The serious training has yet to begin. No runs more than 9 miles; no true tempo runs; no intervals or fartlek; only one very tentative hill workout. I haven't run a race since May 2019. Haven't even been able to think about that. Today told me that it can happen;
Merry Christmas!
