I am not vaccinated. Saw no need as a young, healthy teenager. Ironically, I was scheduled to get vaccinated two days after I tested positive. (College I’m going to be running at next year requires it.)
Well given you were too stupid to follow reasonable advice before, I suspect nothing anyone says here will change your mind about running with inflamed lungs.
Hopefully you recover fast, but perhaps consider losing your spring track season a good lesson.
Consider losing the spring track season?! You're a jerk bro. That's insane that your default assumption is that a fit teenager will be ill for months. You need to meet more people.
OP, just take it easy for a few days before you try pushing very hard. You've probably been sick before, even if you can't remember how it was to be sick pre-pandemic. Your body needs energy to get better, so do the little things like focusing on hydration, nutrition, and sleep. You likely can do easy exercise, but there's no need to push hard right now. You won't lose fitness by taking a few easy days. Better to accelerate recovery so you can get back to regular training more quickly.
