Do you not know how to use PTTiming? She was 1.6 seconds behind 25th at 2k. She was 3.7 seconds behind the leader at 2k. She was 2k into the race and had 4k left to race. She lost by 17.7 seconds.
If you fall right after the first split, and have to spend a lot of energy getting back to where you were that can definitely take six or seven seconds off your time,
Yeah she had like 2 and 1/2 minutes of running to work her way back by the second split, but that doesn't mean she didn't spend a lot of extra energy to do that
Anyway the point I'm making is that the splits are irrelevant. All that matters is how bad the fall was and how much energy she had to use to get back to a good position. No one knows for sure but it's definitely more than 2 seconds.
Got to be 5 Seconds at the least and maybe even closer 10 seconds in terms of your finishing time. Just basic physics , each of these Runners has so much energy and if you fall and have to get up and then run around a big pack to get back to the front it's just a lot of energy.
Like I said just focusing on the splits is misleading because you can make up a lot of time in 400 m or even 200 M put the energy you used to do that it's going to hurt you later in the race
