I project something in the low 28’s for the men’s 10k based off how fast the women ran today.
Does Oregon just not care about cross country anymore? 24th?? That's wild. Why would they just give up on their history like that?

Congratulations to NC State and Orton.
Not that much, assuming Starliper pans out that's 3 and then one from the big pack, Rauber, or a new Freshman steps up, that's 4. Also transfer market now more available.
It may not be perfect, but they will be in the hunt for the next 3-5 years.
Might be reading too much into it, but Touhy seemed a little less excited than the others. I wonder if she misses being the solo star of the show. Or maybe wanted to be top 10. Total speculation here
Looked way too hard & dry for spikes. Were many wearing trainers? Can you wear Super Shoes for XC?
She faded in last 1k so probably bummed for dropping out of top 10

That is just Tuohy being Tuohy. Not an excitable girl.

She probably knows random internet posters will be staring at her during the awards ceremony and didn't want to do anything too controversial.

Marlee Starliper will be in the mix next year, and Brooke Rauber. I think NC State is set to be even better next year.
If Nevada Morena can find some life too. LaTour did well at Joe Piane, just not late in the season so some promise. Chimel (6th), Touhy (15th), and Bush (32nd) are some low sticks going into next year, I’m sure they could find 2 more but I don’t think they’ll be as deep as this year.

Just a suggestion- may want to re-categorize this thread so it shows it up in the College sub-forum.

I wouldn’t forget about Bush (32nd today), she improved a lot from last year and is on a upward trajectory. I think she can inch closer to Chimel/Touhy next year. Also with Henes I feel like NC St has built enough rep now that either they can snag a stud from transfer, or will get a top recruit and develop her. Touhy can every full scholly in the country and went NC St. Henes is a great coach and does it the right way.
ND women have come on strong. Watch out for the men.
Teare ain’t holding back. He’s going for it.

Probably just tired and she is never too demonstrative to begin with. Chmiel is the same way. Plus they set high goals for themselves, so maybe some disappointment at how the race was executed. Maybe she was gunning for top 10, but top 15 is perfectly fine.
Anyway she and Kelsey just brought home the NCAA title to their school. Awesome achievement.
