Hope he’s ok not destroying himself finishing on an injury. This board seems like it has zero empathy sometimes.

Rumors seem to say he didn’t finish

He just hit 24.9 miles a minute ago.
is he top 3 american yet?
His training is great for mountain ultras and terrible for roads. He does high volume high junk with very little speed or track workouts. I'm not surprised he has crap road races. He needs to stick to Pikes Peak or train like a normal person. I'm not hating on the guy just speaking facts.
Didn’t break 3 hours.
Although he is injured he is still running, the guy is a true champ!
3:00:46 unofficial

I think he will break 3:00. Beyond that I don't care. 2:59:59 or 2:00:00 is all just sub 3 to me.
This didn’t age well.

Wrong like everyone else here. 3:00:46. My guess was second closest, only 30:46 off.
His devoted haters are a bit ridiculous, but they are right about his training. This race was a disaster unfolding in plain sight for months.
His smug delusional "mad scientist" approach was destined to fail. There is so much research and info on what makes a successful marathon and here he is acting like he is discovering something new by huffing away for 140 miles in the mountains. So tired of his excuses. So tired of his refusal to do actual speed work. So tired of his refusal to do actual road marathon training and stringing his followers along race after race. Dude needs to get humble and train properly. Stop filming a million angles of sipping your coffee and train properly.

Either you are running, or making videos on YT, or bringing up kids. You cant do 3 things at the same time
You, me, and Seth all know he isn't pulling his weight with the kids. We can do the math.
No need for the family chat
Actually think his recent antics bode pretty poorly for coaching aspirations unless it’s for a specific event ie mountain racing

No kidding. Why don’t Seth try working a legit 8-5, taking care of kids etc like most of us and see what true adversity feels like.
Btw, his eating in NYC was straight garbage based on his videos. Red sauce pasta with oiled bread, cafe style pancakes with syrup and butter two days before the race. El oh El.
Don’t forget he also has a regular job too.
Tomorrow's content
Multiple shots of looking very tired and defeated in hotel room. Multiple angles of moping in airport. Dashboard cam view of sullen drive to house from Denver airport. Footage of very emotional reunion with family. (How much is staged? He doesn't travel with a videographer yet, lots of footage from different angles.)
A few minutes of confessional, excuses, and verbalizing self doubt. Tears. 17 angles of sipping tea while looking reflective adding up to the magic 13 to 15 minutes required to get that YT money.
It all seems very forced and increasingly inauthentic.

This. The guy just qualified for the BOSTON MARATHON aka the People’s Olympics while holding down a regular job.
How about you guys try to get anywhere close to level before you talk smack.
The marathon can be a jealous mistress. One can put in 140+ mile weeks, cross training, and a strict diet, and success can still be elusive.
I believe the guy is ultimately hoping for an OQT. Best of luck to him.

Thought he was doing the vlog full-time now?
