Ive never given her a pass.Shes a doper.Too wide, too round capped delts, changed widened jaw,and several other tell tale signs of obvious doping. And jackie joyner-kersee looked like a man,so yes,im sure bobby dopes up his athletes.

See the square jaws...Classic sign of roids..
There has not been a change in her facial features that I have seen.
However, Kersee's favorite drug of choice was HGH according to several I know in the sport and some reports outside the sport. Among other things HGH allows the skull and facial bones continue to grow in adulthood. This many times results in protruding eyebrows, the Barry Bonds type head growth, or the late in life braces. If the athlete in question is sporting braces in three years you will most likely have your answer.

I've heard off and on for years on this board that Bobby Kersee is widely suspected of drugging up his Olympic athletes, going back to JJK in the 80s (whose records still haven't been touched, by the way). Wasn't Flojo coached by Kersee too?
However, over the years, I've heard very little suspicion of Allyson Felix and none regarding Sydney McLaughlin. Now, it's true that both of these athletes had very gradual progressions since being ultra-elite high school athletes. They haven't blown away records like Flojo or JJK. Maybe Kersee has backed off in recent years?
Regarding McLaughlin, however, I submit to you the story Rojo linked in another thread this morning. Look at Sydney's facial features in the photo.
Something's changed a little there, similar to what we've seen in other steroid athletes. Has Kersee administered some levels of the stuff that's boosted her just enough to lower those hurdle times this year like she has? I just don't understand why she (and to a lesser degree, Felix) gets a free pass when Kersee is widely suspected of doping his athletes from a previous generation.
While there can certainly be some correlation between abrupt physical changes and doping, it can also just be maturation and athletic development. To expect McLaughlin as an adult professional athlete to still look like she did as a teen makes no since. Typically, overtime, female sprinters will get more muscular and distance runners more cut.

Jackie Joyner Kersee looked like a man before she was coached by Bobby Kersee. Drugs had nothing to do with it.
And coaches don't dope up their athletes any more. This isn't East Germany in the 1970's when their athletes were given drugs without realizing what they were taking. Athletes are the ones taking the drugs. And each athlete is capable of make that choice themselves, regardless of who their coach is.
McLaughlin was talented enough to make the Olympic team at age 16 even when her hurdling technique wasn't that good. Do you honestly think she was taking drugs then?

Sure, Americans are the ones in denial. But Karsten Warholm (who came out of nowhere and this year isn't nearly what he was), and Femke Bol are pure as the driven snow.
Must be that pure... oops.... ubermensch.... dammit! Viking, I mean Viking blood!
Keep your Aryan speculation about McLaughlin and Felix in your own head.
Karsten Warholm most definitely didn't come out of nowhere. Have you been living under a rock? He was dealing with an injury leading up to World's which affected his ability to train hard. This was well known and was part of the reason he faded, coming off the 8th hurdle poorly was the other part. If Warholm dopes, I'm sure he was doping as much as usual and as much as everyone else in that race. Let's be real...I also think he should be commended for competing when he probably knew he would lose. He gave it his best shot, no regrets. And he made a point to congratulate Benjamin and dos Santos, instead of being a sore loser. He showed character and I respect that.
Femke Bol is like a female dos Santos. I may be wrong, but she is relatively new to the big leagues, so it's no surprise she's been improving the last few years. Whereas Sydney was elite at like 17 or something like that. I liken it to some people running 60-80 miles in high school while people like Hocker are doing 30. She may be able to challenge Sydney in the next year or two. I think she needs to start 14 stepping tbh though. It looks like she may have the open speed after seeing her relay leg. She was chopping for 15 and looked comfortable over the last hurdle in 15, which is an improvement on how she was covering ground before. Sydney still drops to 16 I believe.
Maybe Felix and McLaughlin are just getting enough juice to assist a little without making it obvious and getting caught? Maybe Kersee has just become a master at beating the system? No doubt McLaughlin would be one of the world's best and even a champion and all-time great w/o drugs. But maybe the drugs are the difference btw 52.0 and 50.6.

It is impossible to verify this belief, that allowing doping chatter on LR has any impact on cleanness in T&F.
I can’t believe I’m participating in this thread. But I’ve a question for those of you who sincerely believe that someone who was clearly a generational talent must be doping. Why do you bother following the sport? I’m genuinely curious.

I’m curious to hear how people think Kersee is getting away with it without SM failing any tests. Or most doping athletes for that matter. USADA would have to be in on the game.
I’m inclined to think most elite athletes dope, but I don’t think they don’t fail tests by exploiting timing. That seems far too risky given the whereabouts rules and random 3-4 tests per year in addition to during competition.

I ask myself that question every time I see a WR like last night or see people throwing 22 m in the shot like it was normal. I still get caught up in the moment and then am brought back to earth by LRC.
