Interestingly just saw on Twitter he is passing on racing the rest of the Diamond League. No mention of injury or other problems . He is leaving a lot of money on the table as Olympic champ. Very odd.

I'm not as suspicious as a lot of people...that was a relatively weak Olympic 100m final, he ran a great race and there were some signs pointing at this (the indoor 60).
But man, if he were to get popped, that would solidify this Olympics as one of the worst ever.

He’s likely doping like many professional athletes. To get to that level you not only need talent and hard work, but arguably pharmaceuticals.
My question is… is he going to get popped? If so, Kerley and Great Britain will get gold. Ironic given they are likely doping too…
Kerley didn't come out of nowhere. Jacobs's 10.03 PR pre-2021 is in no universe euqivalent to Kerley's 43-mid 400s from 2016-17. And, yes, that 43-mid from a speed-based 400 runner does strongly indicate sub-10 100 speed.
C'mon, man, you can't be serious. Kerley did come out of nowhere. That cat went from 10"49 to 9"84. Which other 20"2/43"6 cat has ever broke 10"00 stepping down?

He has suffered a slight injury and so he’s going to take a break for a while and come back in 2022. Yes, he’s going to miss some paydays but he will make up for it in 2022 for sure.
if Jacobs were to run now in the diamond league he would not be at his best and it would not reflect well on an Olympic champion to do so in a less than optimal physical state. Normal, no suspicion.

sucks - wouldn't care if it was just him, but my man Tortu is going to lose his gold if Jacobs gets popped.
Whatever-- Tortu ran an epic anchor, but they never would've been in position for gold if not for Jacobs's second leg.

Slight injury. Yeah, right. When did it happen? Gold in the 100. Gold in the relay. Did it happen during a post-Olympic celebration?

Pretty obvious that the 10.49 was not co-occurrent w/ the world-class sprinting he's been doing in the 400 for the past several years. 10.5 does not correspond w/ 43-mid so either the 10.49 comes from earlier in his career (i.e., high school, JC) or he was completely untrained in sprint technique when he ran it.
Here’s the source. It’s in French but I think he might get the idea.
The key words in French from the article: “ Selon la presse italienne, le sprinteur a recommencé à s'entraîner cette semaine en Italie mais s'est arrêté aussitôt, le quotidien italien Il Corriere della Sera, citant son entourage, invoquant « la fatigue accumulée aux JO et un problème au genou ».
Translation. “ according to the Italian press, the sprinter started training again last week in Italy but stopped immediately, said the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sierra, quoting his followers, due to the fatigue accumulated during the Olympics and a knee problem” (Ghost1-edit).
Folks, this guy is as clean as a whistle unless proven otherwise. His progression over the past few years has been quite logical and without raised eyebrows. Thank you.

Switch Jacobs out for a random 10.2X guy and Italy at best gets bronze and probably miss the podium.
Tortu snagged the gold because of competitive heart.

Ima hand it to you. your boy had wheels on the sprint relay (38"72, 38"77, 38"78). He had a 20"27w in the deuce (20"45 legal) in a 43"70 season.
There is this little problem of a 5 year gap between 10"49 and last year
Was this slow cat untrained in sprint technique last year when he ran 11"05 for 8th overall at the and found himself this year ----- at age 25/26?

There was the biogenesis lab scandal in MLB (baseball) about a decade ago. It was leaked that the lab was shady amd supplying PEDs Rumors of certain associated players--who all denied association initially, but as time passed, it was proven that the players were lying and all taking PEDs. This Jacobs situation reminds me of that. Again, he's one of those most obvious I've ever seen.
if he's honest why did he lie? He kept training with a team under investigation for doping

Possibly he had an A sample AAF and can’t race until it is resolved one way or the other.
