Nutritionists are quite useless overall, so IDK what benefit he’d get from hiring one, except for drug access. The nutritionist at my college (that everyone on the team is forced to meet with at the start of the season), told me to put peanut butter on spaghetti and, freshman year, recommended a brand of protein bar that I made the mistake of actually buying and consuming. The bar ended up being a nuclear laxative and I missed an afternoon of classes due to being practically chained to the toilet.
Exactly. Unless you’re a complete idiot or have absolutely terrible eating habits, you don’t need a nutritionist. Just seems like Jacobs needed a “hookup” and connections to get peds.
So every elite sportsperson who taps into a nutritionist is either seeking doping links/substances or eating crap and needing to be set right? What about a really fine athlete seeking a range of options that might cumulatively add about 2% to performance, of which nutrition might be be one strand? is 'quite useless' another way of saying ' of some small benefit'. The minds of some people on this MB are so screwed. As the articles point out, Jacobs left the person months ago (Ah, wait, now i get it, he must have got 6 months PEDs, bulk bought, then ditched the guy to retain the moral high ground)
