Yes the Norwegians are so CLEAN. Is that why their x-country skiing success has been clouded by the use of asthma drugs, among other cheating scandalsa?

"I don't think there's a chance he'll get any of the records. 3:26.00 is a long way from 3:30.16. 12:37!! is a long way from 13:02, and 7:20 is a long way from the low 7:30s that he was capable of running last year. Moreover, the 5000m mark may well be a moving target with Cheptegei, Kipruto, Barega, GWet, and Kejelcha all in the 12:40s already, and potentially the advent of carbon fiber plate spikes. However, I think that Jakob will run in the mid to upper 12:40s. He gave GWet a bit of a battle in the 13:02 race, so he must have had mid to low 12:50s ability already last year. "
CORRECTION: Cheptegei and Kipruto are not in the 12:40s already.
Cheptegei´s PB (on the track) is 12 :57.41.
Kipruto´s PB is 13:07.40 (from DL London 2019 where Jakob ran more than 5 seconds faster on the last 600m!)
I don´t doubt, however, that both have the potential to run in the 12:40s. But so has Jakob as you reckonize yourself.
Jakob is younger than all these East Africans so everything equal he has the largest potential for improvements so his chance to break WRs should be as good the African´s.
We will perhaps this evening get an indication of if Jakob is still improving!
You think Jakob has as much talent as someone like Bernard Lagat then? Since EL G is less talented than your white guys? The only really really talented one out of them to me is Coe. Other than that the all time great african runners are clearly more talented.
Norwegian government-owned broadcasting corporation NRK published the list of drugs taken to PyeongChang by the Norwegian team doctor. It includes 1,800 doses of Symbicort, 1,200 doses of Atrovent, 1,200 doses of Alvesco, 360 doses of Ventolin and 1,200 doses of Airomir
That being said, I do agree with other posters, that Jakob is truly exceptional talent.

LOL Jeg bodde i Norge. Ni år.
Deliberately cheating is out of the question in Nordic countries?
Norwegians are tested more than what? LOL
Really?
Living in a small community means doping would be exposed? Or does it maybe mean that doping is easier to hide?
I am not saying Jakob is doping and I hope he is not, but your justifications are hollow.

LOL just stop
One thing we can all agree about Ingebrigtsen is that he is a very unattractive facially. He got the running gene, but also the ugly gene. Its difficult to look at him during race introductions. His brothers are pretty bad too. Cosmetically, the chromosones were at war in that family.

LOL I searched your posts. You are a known troll here and on another forum.
Bye kid.
The records? I don't think he does. He lacks speed and he would also need to be full EPO. I suspect he likely is doping, like most top athletes today, but it would be very hard to get away with 90's levels.

Noob detected ^^
I say no. Just because he is running world class times at such a young age doesn’t necessarily mean he will continue on the trajectory most observers expect for runners of his age into their typical athletic prime. Rather, he has just reached this level of fitness earlier than most runners. And once you get to the elite level, you have to fight Tooth and nail for every second Of improvement. It’s harder to go from 13:0x to 12:50 (let alone WR!) than 13:30 to 13:0x. Maybe not the most exact example but you get the idea.
Okay, Cheptegei has not run in the 12:40s, not quite, but I rate his 12:51 world 5km road record as easily equivalent to 12:40s on the track and I rate Rhonex Kipruto, despite his current lack of basic speed, to have a shot at a very fast 5000m time as well because he ran 26:24 on the roads, and not in trampoline shoes. If you can average 13:12 on the roads, then you can run 12:40s in an even paced race on the track.
none of them are going to beat EG, Komen and bekele WRs.
I believe Jakob does not have a high progression margin since he trains so hard for so many years.
It's like most top africans who are close to their peak at 18, winning intertionnal medals, make their PRs at 20-21, then never improve again.
Jakob will end up with 3'28-29, 7'25-28, 12'45-50, 26'50.
So European records are possible for him but not WR.
Rhinex kipruto PR on track are 13'08 and 26'50.
He must have found slightly downhill races or wind in the back road races.
He was already 30" faster on road than on track 2 years ago (26'46/27'21).
Cheptegei will be the closest I think for 5k/10k
u guys forgot about selemon barega hes already in like super low 12:40s and how old is he like 20-22?
I think Jakob is clean too. The reason I think this is because the kid ran sub 4 at 16 and if he was doping then he’s in for some serious health problems.
I think he is just ridiculously talented. He probably want break the world records because they probably are doped.

I think Jakob will be hard pressed to break Farah's 3:28.8 European record.
They likely have similar speed over 800 but Farah's endurance, his 5k ability, is extremely strong.
He could never be bothered to time trial a 5k which makes him lazy, but does not take away the fact that sub 12:45 would be guaranteed.

he is 20 now.
Made 12'43 at 18 but I believe he is never gonna run that fast again.
This guys have their career peak very early for 5000m.
Kipchoge for example ran 12'46 when 19 and never went sub 12'50 again.
