No. You are aware she nearly won Boston another time, in completely different conditions, yes? As for Yuki, the answer is clear though not as simple as you think.
Yes, this is the counterpoint. If she has enough extra body fat to insulate her in cold conditions it should be a detriment in warmer conditions.
The more likely explanation is that she was frequently among the top finishers and the ball bounced the right way on this day. Notable finishes:
5th place - 2008 Chicago Marathon
2nd place - 2010 Chicago Marathon
2nd place - 2011 Boston Marathon
5th place - 2013 Berlin Marathon
5th place - 2014 NYC Marathon
4th place - 2015 Boston Marathon
7th place - 2016 Olympic Marathon
4th place - 2017 Boston Marathon
1st place - 2018 Boston Marathon
If she is most often in that 4th spot, well it does not take much to go from 4th to 1st. That requires only 3 people having an off day, which could very well be caused by the conditions if they aren't used to training in cold conditions the way she might. Or maybe it doesn't even require anyone to have an off day and she has a good day. I don't mean to take anything away from her.
