This is why people like Koko and VIX must be trolls. It has been outlined in this thread a million times to Sunday that the indictment is not about telling lies. I'll do what many have tried but have clearly been unsuccessful at doing:
1) In the 3rd paragraph it is acknowledged President Trump has the right to claim whatever he wants and file lawsuits challenging the election. The indictment is not about saying he can't lie or doesn't have free speech. In fact, the indictment says can do both to his heart's content.
2) What is not ok, and what he may go to jail for (among lots of other things)... if found guilty is:
a) Organized fraudulent slates of electors in seven target states (Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin).
b) Calling and trying to use bully tactics to convince the Georgia Secretary of State to alter Georgia's popular vote count.
c) Ordering a subordinate (Mike Pence) to do change the election results.
Maybe Trump is found Not Guilty to everything. But clearly the above is not legal and if he is found guilty of doing these things he should go to jail. I think it would make a lot of people feel better if those supporting Trump would sit back and say "you know... if he really did this stuff... then yeah, he should be locked up... but I don't think he did so will support him until there is a verdict." Clearly if Biden or Obama did the above it would be a problem. So just admit that the charges are serious but you would like to wait until a verdict before passing judgement.
