what is going on with Henry these days? Is he still trying to compete as a masters runner? He seems to have dropped off the radar entirely.
He is coaching or something now-a-days.

Henry was coaching in Yemen of all places and is now safely back in the US. He is a lean, mean running machine once again.

To UO,
It is nice of you to say that thank you Ray. Are you kidding me!I was dying my left knee was hurting soo bad. Did you see that I was limbing? You guys ran effortless, not the old-man I try to keep with my group and I only try twice, after that I call it a day.I didn't have joint lubricates, and the hips extention resistancy.I was breathing so hard trying and gasping the air unlike twenty eight years ago.I used to have extra oxen or air in the lungs. nowdays no more.
I will be there tomorrow,I hope it will be better.

I miss me some Henry Rono!!!!
In his comeback attempt, I paced Henry in a mile race. Henry had an ankle? calf? injury and I managed to beat him. Afterward, instead of sulking or making excuses, Henry graciously posed for pictures with my friend's middle school son. It inspired him to run cross country. The kid was never very good, but it gave him the confidence he needed as a youngster. I'll never forget that. Rono finished last in that race, but he changed a life. For all his human faults, Henry has a big heart.
I will always remember the time I got to race one of the greatest runners in the world.
Godspeed, Henry Rono.
Very cool story, thanks for posting that:)
