Fox's lawyers finally approved this short vanilla report 3 hours after everyone else reported it. It's tough running an advertising agency with 20 lawyers breathing down your neck, but the thought of another $730 million hit is just too much for management to even think about.
Former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell, one of 19 defendants in Fulton County (Georgia) District Attorney Fani Willis' indictment, pleaded guilty to six misdemeanor charges relating to the 2020 presidential election.
Well, the Fox decision of whether or not to cover -- along with how much coverage to give it -- is based on a range of factors related to their bottom line and inclination: what is generally good for Republicans, what will land them in legal jeopardy, what their audience wants to hear/see, etc. In that way, they're nearly like Newsmax & OAN, a decent bit but not all that much beyond MSNBC, and not exactly worlds away from CNN. Yeah, so I wouldn't put it solely on the Dominion issue. And even if that's the primary issue, I doubt that it outshines the others by all that much.
On CNN, MSNBC, BBC , NYT, etc. you can find criticism of democrats. On FOX, OAN, Newsmax, et. al., you cannot find criticism of trump and his co-conspirators, only defense of their actions often in the form of intentional lies. That is why FOX settled for $780M.
People who live inside that news bubble are shielded from facts that don't fit their point of view. FOX, OAN, Newsmax do almost no reporting of the actual court proceedings and instead focus on trying to discredit entire American institutions and every person involved in the court, even those who used to be trump allies. This is because the boring facts of court proceedings are devastating to the trump supporter point of view.
Mostly but not entirely true. Fox has an amazingly tough and effective liberal proponent Jessica Tarlov on The Five. She is outnumbered 4 to 1 but she destroys the other members with facts. I have never seen a liberal as tough and as effective as her.
If this is accurate, Chesebro turned down a plea that would have been one count of felony racketeering, 3 years probation, must testify against others, $10k fine, letter of apology. Anything avoiding jail time would seem to be something to jump at, but I'm guessing the felony is what Chesebro couldn't have, because that would kill his law license which may still have value to him.
But I also think he's pretty confident in his own case. Not sure what defenses he has lined up and its weird that no motions have been filed (that I know of), but Georgia does not have an easy case here with respect to the overall conspiracy on the election. A lot of moving parts and educating the jury on what a federal elector and the electoral college even is -- most Americans, even ones that vote, don't know what it is.
The Trump campaign adviser turned down the offer last month, a source said. Sidney Powell, who had been scheduled to stand trial with him, pleaded guilty Thursday.
F'ing Chris Christie makes me sick. He is nothing without Trump. The one thing Trump needs to improve is finding people who are loyal. Talent without loyalty is nothing. This is why we need Jim Jordan. He is as loyal as anyone who has ever been in Trump's orbit. McCarty proved his two-faced nature and Matt Gaetz got him out.

Remember when Trump attorney the kraken lady was all over cable news saying the most insane sh!t about how Trump won and proof was about to be released?
Trump wanted to make her AG for crissakes!
What a freekin train wreck Trump is!
Now she pleads guilty and will be singing like a canary with her brown cardigan sweater.
How did Trumpers buy into that crap?

Loyalty to Trump? How about loyalty to your country instead? Trump only needs loyalty (and non-disclosure agreements which he can NO LONGER enforce because he lost in court to Jessica Denson) because he needs to cover up criminal acts. Hence all the prosecutions.

For a lot of Trump supporters, they were being told what they wanted to hear. That's hard for a lot of people to resist, especially religious minded types who are taught and conditioned, often from a young age, to believe things with little or no evidence.

The prosecution filed an Opposition to Trump's motion to dismiss on presidential immunity grounds. The prosecution argues, pretty effectively, that presidents have no immunity at all from criminal prosecution once they leave office (which is quite different than established law on immunity from civil liability).
Hard to figure out (at least for me) who is more persuasive or what an appeals court and ultimately the Supreme Court will do, or when they will do it. I doubt Judge Chutney will dismiss, but then what happens? Can Trump immediately appeal, or does the trial happen first, and then Trump can appeal if he gets convicted? Anyone know?

Ihatefetman guy has no idea that his post is exactly what a cult member would post. Total loyalty above all else to the cult master.
(Also Christie was elected governor and that is not nothing)
The line to testify against Trump is forming on the left and getting longer.
Holy f'ing moly! Say it ain't so, Cheese Bro!
I suppose we have to see what the terms are, but that looks astounding. Of immediate interest, is how much this is tied to any talks he is having with the Feds who have labeled Cheese as "Co-Conspirator 5" with Donald Trump and the gang.
I enjoyed watching court video of the crazy conspiracy lady admitting her guilt to the judge. Looking forward to watching Chesebro do the same. Call your lawyer right away perps, the best deals go to the first to admit their criminality!

Kenneth Chesebro, a key co-defendant in former President Donald Trump's Georgia election interference case, has taken a last-minute plea deal in which he has agreed to testify in the case. Chesebro will plead guilty to a sing...
