I'm really going to miss these videos and pix when the war is over.
Here, 30-40 RU armored fighting vehicles destroyed or abandoned at a failed bridge crossing.
RU morale must be rock bottom low.
So the RuAF Bilohorivka crossing was a disaster. As well as yesterday's bridge pics, 6 more here https://t.co/oIsqfP8ICX. Rough count: 31 AFVs in the 6 new pics + 5 more out of view between here and river that I saw in imagery sent to me yesterday + 2 in the water. h/t @DefMon3https://t.co/LResiMG8bxpic.twitter.com/BcqrDsKsiM
I still think the base case scenario is that RU annexes the two rebel zones, builds a wall between those two zones and the rest of UKR and says 'we won bye.'
Then UKR has to decide if it can mount an offensive to uproot the remaining, dug-in RU forces. Most likely they cannot.
Which has been my base case scenario from very early on, when it became clear they could not take Kiev.
Anyone who supports the Neocon agenda of giving $40,000,000,000 to the weapons makers to increase the killing of Russians and Ukrainians rather than using that money to help Americans is the most kind of vile traitor to America.
Why do I need to explain that?
Answers:
It is clear to Ukrainians that Russia will kill, rape, rob, imprison and subjugate Ukrainians even if they surrender. As for the Russian lives, that decision was made by Putin.
For Americans, there is value is halting Russian territorial aggression that has been occurring for decades.
And do you really think that money otherwise would be used to help the average American in other ways? If the GOP takes back the house and senate, not a chance.

Yeah, serious design flaw with T-72 and successors through the T-90. Russia decided to go with a three man crew with an autoloader, which makes the tank smaller. However, the crew isn't sufficiently isolated from the ammo, so almost every hit leads to a catastrophic explosion with the turret thrown. The US observed this when they were blowing up Iraqi T-72s in the First Gulf War back in '91. The T-90 was basically already designed by the First Gulf War, so it may have been too late to improve crew protection at that point. Or, Russia just didn't care about their soldiers.
The US M1 series has a 4 man crew, which requires a bigger heavier tank, but the ammo is secured away from the crew, making hits much more survivable. This was a design decision made by the US to prioritize crew safety over equipment cost (also, training a tank crew is time consuming and expensive - much more so than replacing or repairing a tank). So, it was also a good strategic decision.
The next-generation Russian T-14 tank maintains the 3 man crew, but improves the ammo isolation, which should prevent / reduce turret tosses. Russia was supposed to build around 2000 T-14s between 2015 and 2020, but since Russia is corrupt and broke, they haven't built them yet. Maybe the first few in the next year, but by that point there won't be any Russian tank crews to man them.
In the mean time, thank you Russia for the entertaining videos!

I think that is the best Ukraine can achieve.
Agreed that it's a likely outcome. Ukrainian membership in EU / NATO will then become central questions.
Since carmine cannot condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine he is therefore ok with their killing and raping civilians, with their threatening nuclear warfare and of course their seeking to obliterate the identity of a neighbouring sovereign nation. Meanwhile, in the spirit of Mein Kampf, he rails against any and everything that is Jewish - like the Nazi he really is. There is odious - and then there is carmine.

Can't refute any of the posts I've made demolishing the conspiracy theory ramblings you've been posting.
Can't post without insulting other posters, going on anti-semetic rants, or plagiarism other peoples' work.
Can't answer a simple question: "Do you think Russia was right to invade Ukraine."
Maybe you should take some time away from the internet and seek professional help. You seem to have some deep issues that are only getting worse. Or, stick around and be a punching bag while we all laugh at you and cheer on the destruction of the Russian military.

Russian annexation is already in motion. Russia is requiring rubles in areas that are under RU control, have installed Russian administrators and are sending Ukrainians away to Russian filtration camps to make sure that there is no local resistance to Russian rule.
The problem right now is that RU has already paid a very high price for the invasion and Putin does not want to give up and just take over territory that was already held by separatists. Putin wants the land bridge from Russia to Transnistria. That is why Odessa is getting bombed and there is a line of navy vessels offshore ready to pummel Odessa in the same way RU pummeled Mariupol.
Putin seems to be willing to let this war go on indefinitely. Putin was the architect of the Chechen war and definitely had his hands all over the intervention in Syria. Both of those conflicts took months of heavy bombing to prevail over the separatists/anti-Assad forces. Putin is probably comfortable with having this conflict go on for a few months. The big problem for Putin is that RU forces may not last that long. UA forces have been very successful in holding off RU forces and then retaking territory. Absent a national mobilization (draft), which could turn the Ukraine war into Russia's Vietnam, RU may not be able to sustain the campaign in Ukraine through the summer and may even lose gains in separatist territories.
When Russia becomes the world’s largest flea market, with no stock market, no imports, no exports, and totalitarian rule, what will Carmine9 do?
It's difficult to predict the future, but my guess is that he will post here on LRC regarding some wildly impossible American-Israeli led global conspiracy designed to screw over some vague, amorphous and enormous group of victims.

🥱
As opposed to Carmine who hates his own country so much he actively supports everyone who wants them dead..How's your isis boys doing these days?
Thanks for the reply because my comment was deleted because criticism of the Jewish State is not permitted. Even on Letsrun. This was we get to see what I said.
You support a nation that has murdered dozens of our sailors, whose fingerprints were all over 911, whose Lobby has taken control of our corrupt pols and used that control to squeeze tens of billions of taxpayer $$ from us and to drag us into fighting wars for them in several Muslims nations.
I love America and so oppose that evil nation.
I am sure this will get taken down.
Can call Russians anything you want but the truth about Israel is not allowed
