You people argue about the same stuff hour after hour, and day after day. Exactly what our leaders do. Never accomplishing anything worthwhile. Interesting microcosm of the country we live in. Borrowing time we don’t have.
men have talked about politics since time began. Doesn't mean it's useless or not rewarding.
I just hope that the NSC is on this. It's serious. Has POTUS been briefed ?? (and did we make sure that he didn't accidentally put the classified briefing of it in Jill's folder of CC remedial English essays to be corrected??)
And I think that the fact that El Runkin is in ANY way involved in this is what MIGHT be making the national security folks particularly nervous.
all politics are local right? LRC first, then the world.
but seriously - 10+ posts have disappeared from this page last time I checked, and one of mine from the stock market thread. You post something and then it disappears....makes you a lot less likely to post again. Kills the vibe.
The message board software fails on large threads. It must be running some query to get all the posts in the thread which times out. Even when it works, these threads are really slow.

Of course that is likely true, and you seem to enjoy this. On the other hand, it would seem more appropriate to argue, let’s say the wisdom of Republican corporate tax cuts that are not trickle down, or Democratic penchant to create minority dependency. Both policies we can neither afford, and in fact encouraged poor behavior. But the attraction to remain distracted appears pretty strong.

Ghost, you've kind of got it backwards, from an "importance" standpoint. Tax policy today or tomorrow or welfare policy (if that's at least part of what you mean) today or tomorrow is in fact far, far less important than what (at least the non-Trumpers) on this thread talk about.
A president who claims with no proof that an election was stolen from him for years, and has roughly 30-40% of the country "on his side," is so, so much more important than any given policy, or even a collection of lots of policies. What you dismissively (and perhaps conveniently) call a "distraction" is anything but.
Indeed, amongst semi-conscious Rs, it's almost certainly the "policies" that are hoped to be the distraction from a party that has completely lost its compass.
To wit, Nixon-era Rs didn't harp on the "Nixon distraction." They simply threw him in the trash, as they should have, and got back to policy. The current R party is clearly too broken to do the same.
Putin is far more honest than the US Intelligence community
Exactly, NeoName. Would Putin have manipulated a confession out of a J. Christ-fearing American like the FUCA did to Hatchet Speeds? Would Putin have put fellow Americans on trial for insubordination at the Capitol based on intelligence racketeering? Would Putin have made finking rats out of otherwise decent Americans?
Spazzio Pezzola, Speeds, Tarrio, Guy Reffitt, Glenn Frey, Jacob Chansley (Q-sham), Gina Bisignano, B. Munchel, Pauline Bauer, Milton John, Roy Seefried, Bigo Barnett, Jenna Ryan, the list is perfuncted. All these individuals, and hundreds more, have been effigied unmercifully resulting in losing their freedom to federal incarceration, losing income, stature, reputation, second amendment rights, shoes, goodwill, even losing friends and family in disgust. That one guy Guy Reffitt had his own son rat him out to the paid federal agents of the State!

Bingo!
Agip and his alter egos live on this thread. Beyond sad to spend hours each day trying to convince others that they are right and are the smartest, when they aren't. I truly pity them all. Check in once a month and they'll be on this thread. No Family? No kids? Again, I pity them all, no lives

Well you have to at least have a beer 🍺 in your hand for it to be truly rewarding.

Here's the breakdown, genius:
1) Saying defensible things over and over again. Silly, waste of time, perhaps slightly embarrassing. Represents roughly half the posters, certainly including me.
2) Saying completely indefensible things over and over again. Infinitely worse than #1. Represents roughly half the posters.
Your reply, of course, only addresses #1, not the infinitely more embarrassing #2.

Hold it, but your side for years promoted the Russia hoax. It’s all a distraction, and you are just another sucker. So telling that the Ukraine War came to fruition. Death, destruction, and more profits for the military industrial complex. I suppose some believe it is better than the Bush Wars since Ukrainians are being maimed and dying. All of it draining the vibrancy of this country. While major American cities become crap holes of homeless camps and fentanyl addiction. But its OK some stimulus checks or new classes of victimization will cure the problem.

**Not a hoax.
Literally, the head of the Trump campaign owed a lot of money to the Russian spy handler who turned a member of the FBI into a Kremlin tool. Literally the head of the Trump campaign met with this spy handler and gave him secret information so the Russians could help Trump get elected.

Hey, I resemble that remark!
But still: hear, hear! I don't agree with you on much but I think you nailed it here.

HOW many times do you guys need to be reminded that R Senators decided that Russia tried it interfere in the 2016 election, to Trump's benefit ???
But the orange guy tells you it's a "hoax," and you believe it. AND THEN you call OTHER people suckers. Right.
Before I replied to you the first time, I had a vague memory that you were a massive moran. Sure enough. And then AFTER your first 2 stupid sentences above, it ACTUALLY went down hill from there. It went from clear but stupid, to nearly incomprehensible but still obviously stupid. Impressive.

But what the hell, I'll dive in to display your incoherence. Try to keep up.
1) You say "Russia hoax," which means that the odds are 99.9% that you're a proud Trumper.
2) Trump had more allegiance to Putin than his own Executive Branch (intel community). Not to mention many other indications that he admired him. Oh, and tried to shake down the leader of Ukraine.
3) Trump's buddy Putin invades Ukraine and kills thousands upon thousands of innocent people. Not to mention Ukrainian service members who shouldn't be in a war right now...because Putin doesn't know that it's not 1939.
4) AND THEN you make it like it's somehow the OTHER side that caused the war. And that's happy about Ukrainians dying. You admire the president who embraced Putin, but I guess it's YOU who sheds tears for the Ukrainians killed by Putin. Again, right.
An utter inability to maintain a coherent train of thought or argument. Turn it off.

Biden is the one who failed to arm Ukraine and deter it. Also the one who approved Nord Stream 2.
And yeah Russiagate is a hoax. Look up the Hamilton 68 for the latest revelations.

Are you just an idiot (and I say that respectfully) - Russia never interfered in the election. The Mueller investigation concluded NO CONSPIRACY NO COLLUSION. Can you not follow that? Do I need to say it again? NO CONSPIRACY NO COLLUSION? I apologize for the idiot usage but come on man - The Mueller investigation said NO CONSPIRACY NO COLLUSION. gET WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About the Senate Intelligence Committee Committee's (Republican led) findings:
Washington — A nearly 1,000-page report released by the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday documented a broad set of links and interactions between Russian government operatives and members of the 2016 Trump campaign, adding new details and dimensions to the account laid out last year by special counsel Robert Mueller and raising counterintelligence concerns about certain Russian efforts that may have persisted into the 2020 election season. Tuesday's report was the committee's final, and long-awaited, chapter in its more than three-year investigation into Russia's 2016 election interference, marking the conclusion of what was held up as the last and arguably only bipartisan congressional investigation into the matter. Spanning 966 pages, it concluded, as have other assessments of Russia's efforts, that Moscow "engaged in an aggressive, multifaceted effort to influence, or attempt to influence, the outcome of the 2016 presidential election." The report, redacted in parts, detailed extensive contacts between Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnik, a Russian national who worked closely with Manafort for years. The report labeled Kilimnik a "Russian intelligence officer," and said Manafort, for reasons the committee could not determine, sought on numerous occasions to "secretly share internal Campaign information with Kilimnik." It also said the committee obtained "some information" linking Kilimnik to Russian intelligence services' efforts to hack and leak information to damage Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party. Overall, the report said, Manafort's proximity to then-candidate Trump "created opportunities for the Russian intelligence services to exert influence over, and acquire confidential information on, the Trump Campaign." Manafort's willingness to share information with Kilimnik and other Russian operatives, it said, "represented a grave counterintelligence threat."

Putin waited until Biden took office because Putin was hoping his boy Trump would win and remove the US from NATO as Trump had threatened. Putin and Trump were on the same team on this.
