Are other pose advocates in agreement so far?
I'll agree, but I still think this sub-discussion is missing the point which is that the Pose method is about perception and teaching the body. It is not about the analysis of the physics.
I just ran into a good post written by Charlie Francis (name drop, sorry). In this post he points out some study that suggests "nothing positive can come of any conscious action DURING GROUND CONTACT." He does go on to say "these facts can be skewered to suggest that there is no need for correction at any time in the sprint cycle (arm position, stepping over, foot prep, etc), which is clearly false."
I'm going to guess that Charlie Francis believes this to a certain degree and teaches as much (though I could be wrong as well).

http://www.charliefrancis.com/community/showthread.php?t=11304&page=2&pp=15This is what the "essence" of "no push off" means in the POSE method: no conscious action DURING GROUND CONTACT. While a Physics study may be interesting as this sub-disscussion is doing, it has little to do with the POSE method. You can feel free to prove or discount the gravity claims, but you really aen't discussing what the POSE method is when doing so.
