8 year olds at the Junior Olympic level have better exchanges than this. Need to start having a dedicated relay team with the 4-7 finalists at trials. Gives them plenty of time to work on exchanges and should still be fast enough to win. Can't keep trying to the Big guns out there. It just doesn't work.
