Martin in the lead pack. He's probably the biggest underdog still in the pack?
And Andrew Colley.
Besides Fauble dropping out, Futsum Z. and Sam Chelanga are having the most disappointing days.

can someone that has peacock stream it on instragram live??
Leigh Duffey saying Panning not a big name heading into the race. Just telling on himself at this point.

Panning deserves props for hammering and I’d give Mantz some too for going with it, which put the impetus on everyone else to follow suit.
He's probably losing a few seconds with his dumb hat adding drag

If this is true about Fauble, help me understand. how does this kind of catastrophe happen at just 8 miles? Surely 8@MP is a very manageable workout, let alone after a taper and carbo load? I just don’t get it
I have the same question. I remember doing 8 miles at "marathon pace" as a staple workout in college. Legs felt fresh at the end, and it was a much easier on the stomach compared to true tempo pace.
Zack Panning is making this a race!
Was hoping Chelanga would at least be in the mix :(

The puking guy has to be hung AF. Can speak from experience that's not fun.
I've never puked from running in my life! I dont get it.
What a terrible way to get an Olympic spot.
Barring some big negative splits, it looks like Rojo's $1000 is safe.

Fauble in his pre-race interview yesterday saying how whether or not he makes an OLY team will not define his career.
Writing was on the wall.
Dude knew he wasn't making it (for whatever reason TBC)
Yeah - but in the days leading up to his next marathon, you can be damn sure he will be saying he in 2:05 shape.

How does Fauble dropping affect his ranking? I believe he's our best hope to get in the top 80 road to paris?
Hah hah…he wants to sabatoge the convoluted WA process.
Well under the standard through the half. Everyone looks solid, Rupp has a ton of work to do still

The jury’s still out on this
Is Rojo still on the hook for this after Fauble dropped?
The pace is HOT.
Either these guys are going to blow up 45 minutes from now or Rojo will owe Scott Fauble $1000.
Panning running on PURE HATE after Malmo said he could have easily run 16 miles at 4:47!

You never ran hard enough to puke.
Agree, never puked. But have been in the pain cave afterwards from heat stress.
Rupp looks surprisingly good.
