When are US runners going to figure out how to run the marathon? We're still stuck in the 1990s except for some of Rupp's not so recent performances.

The Kenyan national anthem is one of the best in the world

It's over. The US is only winning the race in the obesity category.
Tadesse Abraham, 41, 2h05min 10sec
PR at 41. Master WR. Swiss record as well.
Just so impressive.

Ha ha h aha!
What a frank statement.
WE can give you Emmanuel Wanyonyi and Paul Tanui.......a teenager and a veteran.
Also, throw in Edward Zakayo.
That would work. YOu know we never disappoint.

Truer words haven't been spoken in half a century.
Eh Mungu Nguvu yetu
Ilete Baraka kwetu
NOw, the Kiswahili version doesn't say the same thing as the translated English version in some aspects and we don't know why.

We will take those and give you Scott Fauble in return. He is "in 2:07 or faster shape."

Paul Tanui making his marathon debut right now in Buenos Aires
Hendrik Pfeiffer: 43rd at Sierre Zinal and 20th at Berlin Marathon
Lol, just noticed that the German marathon record is now faster than both the US and UK records. At least Britain has a guy sub-2:10 today, that's progress, of some sort

How does a woman run a 2:11 marathon is beyond me. That's like 4 or 5 minutes under the world record. Seems too good to be true.

It is. If anyone believes she’s clean or that these new adidas shoes are legal…

Just so impressive.
Running PRs at age 40+ seems legit. Reminds me of Eddy Hellebuyck and Regina Jacobs.

WR 2:11:53 from 2:14:04 is a mark beating the previous one by just a little bit more than 2 minutes, not ~4:30.
That's a problem with math in the US. This is all starting with schools. Too much religious schools, too little math schools.

Just great. The V40 Master's WR is now faster than the British overall national record (2:05:11), and the US national record. It's getting embarrassing now
