Along those lines -- talk about leaving your followers holding the bag. Trump could have probably saved Navarro from his upcoming criminal conviction if he had just submitted an affidavit a few weeks ago saying that he told Navarro on the phone that all the subpoenaed documents were subject to executive privilege. That's no bigger a lie than the similar one Trump has been telling about de-classifying the Top Secret documents in his bathroom.
But Trump figured it's not worth his while to save this schmuck Navarro, who was doing everything he could -- even committing felonies -- just to help his hero Trump. Loyalty is a ONE way street with Donald Trump.
The DOJ is an embarrassment, nothing but a political prosecution. Now we prosecute political opponents when there are no crimes. Dems, you need to just beat him at the pools. Instead you are unifying the Republicans to elect Trump.
What you should be doing is trying to find dirt on Yuscil Taveras. That is going to be critical to Trump's public/media defense. Go find some stuff and report back.
Because if people have the temerity to think the law should apply to Donald Trump, of course they should be harassed and threatened. I mean, that just makes sense, right?
Willis is asking Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee to prohibit defendants, the news media or anyone else from creating or publishing images — including video, photos and drawings — of jurors or prospective jurors. She is also asking that the judge prohibit the publication of any information that would help identify them, “specifically physical descriptions, telephone numbers, addresses, employer names and membership affiliations.”
The Georgia prosecutor who has brought charges accusing former President Donald Trump and others of illegally trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the state is asking the judge in the case to take steps to p...
I've been amazed for a few years now at the general level of niavete on the American far right. It would almost be endearing if they weren't so toxic and menacing to ordinary people.
I mean, do they have any idea how massive and intricate modern governments in G20 countries actually are, and do they have no knowledge of the recent history (last 60-70 years) of attempts by small cells of radicals to interfere with their workings, let alone show up in their very centers (symbolic and otherwise) of operation in a posture of force and violence? Did they actually think they were going to achieve anything more than infamy, and at very great personal cost to themselves and their families. in directly challenging the American state? Even groups of political ultras (in e.g. Germany, the UK, and the US) who had some semblance of mass movements behind them still suffered greatly for their troubles in the 60s and 70s, if they survived at all.
These idiots are white Americans, so they had some reason to believe they'd be afforded a little (maybe a lot) more leeway in their activities than black Americans on the left (who were typically hunted down, imprisoned, and in many instances targeted for murder once there) but even white anti-war radicals in the '60s typically got very long sentences for doing things that were considerably less audacious than trying to occupy the capitol during the transfer or Presidential power!
That these guys cried and seemed surprised by the weight of consequences that were put upon them is truly the most interesting facet of this whole spectacle. I mean, real revolutionaries expect to go to jail, and often use their sentencing hearings to make eloquent, impassioned speeches in support of the cause, the diametric opposite of the behavior of these people. What were they thinking this whole time? Maybe that the revolution had already happened with Trump's election?

Navarro convicted. The court should hammer this nutter with massive fines, make him pay all court costs and the costs of all attempts to enforce the subpoena, including all the time that was spent practically begging this douche to comply. Get back every dime he forced the taxpayers to waste on this, then double it as punitive deterrent.
Peter Navarro found guilty with blinding speed of contempt of Congress. He had virtually no defense worth presenting.
His lawyer thought he could defend failing to show up when subpoenaed by saying, "They didn't tell you where he was!" as if that matters when the question is where you weren't, not where you were.
He faces up to two years in prison. He won't get that, but he'll surely get more time than he wants in the slammer.

AND YET….the guy they were trying to install appears to have a not-tiny chance of being legitimately elected next time around.
What a massively disappointing country it turned out I lived in.
“Navarro is the 11th Trump associate to be convicted or plead guilty. 18 other associates were indicted in Georgia last month. More than 350 Trump supporters have been sentenced to prison for Jan. 6, totaling 700 years in sentences.”

Most likely will be elected and what a great country it is!! allow the citizens to vote for who they want and spit in the face of those who try to eliminate the vote through the courts. gotta love it. And gonna get real nasty once Trump gets back in and those who started this division nonsense with their Russian Collusion BS will get what they deserve.

Of course he will set them free. m^ga has the power, not Trump and certainly not the lunatics we are in war against. they have courts but we reign Supreme in the courts. this is a fight the communists never should have started against fellow Americans, but they did, and now are not fellow Americans at all. You have made yourself an enemy because you couldn’t handle Hillary losing. grow up quick or it will get much worse before it gets better. I’m just a teacher but this is an easy call to predict.

No. If you guys were going to go to war over this, you would have done so at the first or the second federal arraignment. NO ONE showed up except a few geeks in silly looking shoes, holding signs and jumping up and down. You guys lacked the requisite balls. You lacked the courage to match your convictions. Just give up. Submit and you will be happier. You simply cannot win against us. We've shown what we can and will do.
