Seems like track12345 is one of the left overs from the great shacarri weed smoking scandal when the job board was basically everyone pushing the same thing he's doing now, don't worry about the trolling
In any case there's a Brain drain in the sport because a boat load of good coaches are leaving the game since a lot of ones with knowledge have figured out that making 35-45k is pretty unmanageable if you want a family and leaving the game after getting passed up for higher paying jobs by those with significantly worse resumes. Happens with both male and female hires. Track often times doesn't hire on merit for a lot of positions
This is exactly what's occurring. The sport is evolving into complete garbage because it's a cronyistic playground plucking from Marxist tropes that value non-sense things such as race and gender ABOVE all else. Does any one read these press releases about these hires with any sense of seriousness?
At some point, it will devolve.
Zero innovation Zero meritocracy Vanity Oh, and by the way the level of PEDS in the NCAA makes amateur bodybuilding seem like kids play
Get out of the sport while you can and still have your sanity.
Track12345 I see you and appreciate your standing up to encourage more women and other minority groups represented in college coaching. It's especially important to have women in coaching when more than half of college XC/TF athletes are.. women! Lol I have no idea why so many college athletes have eating disorders/RED-S injury cycles, probably the biggest problem in college sports right now... Perhaps the fact that a lot of male coaches don't have inherent understanding/empathy of how the female body works. The more new, young, forward-thinking coaches (which are often female) that we can get to lead college athletes (remember, they really are vulnerable kids), the more likely we are to successfully develop our talent for the long term, and to change our sport's culture for the better.
Not only are you a low mileage runner, it appears you're also a low IQ runner.
Ah yes the juvenile argument of: You have to BE "it" in order to coach "IT".
Alright bud, let's see how this well thought out perspective works. As if a black lesbian like Aleia Hobbs gives TWO sh**ts about Shaver's "whiteness" or "male-ness". She wants to be a winner and will willingly chose the best man or woman for that given task. She's not wasting her time with that BS.
All you have to do with these nonsense perspectives is simply....play it out. That's the beauty of sport, it transcends race and gender you simpleton...
Your goal as a coach is to guide young men and women to be the best versions of themselves in an academic setting. That's the whole point of college - leaving one's confines and venturing off into the real world to excel and specialize. Imagine prefacing every major decision in life with: ~WiLl ThErE bE PeOpLe ThAt LoOk LiKe Me?!?!~
Who gives two f**ks if you know how to dance the 'Nay Nay' or if they have mammary glands? Apparently you do. What a great contribution you offer.
And finally with the whole female perspective, sit down sometime and speak to elite female athletes and see how some of these so called empathetic elite women coaches treat their own. It's disgusting and any one in this industry knows WHO and what I'm talking about. As if men don't have wives, girlfriends, daughters? Or can't open a WebMD article?
Who's the sexist? You loon.

Actually if you look at the athletes out on the course I would wager more female coaches have very skinny women out there compared to men… I think men are actually more aware of Ed situations because they know it is the quickest way to being cancelled whereas it’s way harder to cancel a women for having a poor eating culture… if I as a man was pushing my athletes to be super skinny one of them would definitely push back, if a female coach did the same thing she would likely not get pushback as the women on the team would assume since their coach is a women they care about them as people not just being fast.
This is just an observation I am totally for there being more women coaches!
Trust me there is room for us all. We just have to respect the fact that everyone brings something to the table. I will never devalue my male counterparts.
Much like any sport it's a lot who you know but track seems to take it to the extreme especially for head jobs like the USCB one in Carolina where the person that got hired had one year of GA experience despite multiple high level candidates applying and not even getting interviewed
The irony is rich, Scatman! Please clean up your own poor grammar as I believe you meant you're, not your.
You're welcome, my dear! Sincerely, a happy old(-ish) black man who doesn't focus on the speck of sawdust in my brother's eye and pays no attention to the plank in my own eye!

It's always evident when the sh*tposters can't actually resort to positing an actual argument. The internet lives forever.
Thanks for good ole Bible chastising and finding one minuscule error from auto-correct on a phone amidst my torrent of posts. What a zinger! I had no idea, but thanks for correcting me. Phew... You must be a Power 5 HC there, TD Jakes.

Reading is fundamental... *sigh*
With all due respect Scatman, I did not chastise you in using the biblical passage. It was used in describing myself.
Secondly, I find it absolutely hilarious when you have a grammatical error, it is "minuscule due to auto-correct", but for someone else it is because they're "a disgruntled middle aged black man." Got it!
In closing, I'm not a "sh*tposter", a head coach, or a coach of any kind; nor am I a fan of TD Jakes. Your "torrent of posts" certainly allows myself and others to see you for exactly who and what you are Scatman. *smh*
At a minimum I would like to see assistant coaches make 56k.
haha! Very few head coaching jobs make $56k a year. Yes, maybe several D1, but that's it. I would say that 75% of D3, NAIA, D2, and Jucco head coaches do not make $56k a year unless they have been at SAME school for at least 7-10 years. Sad, yet very true.
