I looked at it with skepticism as well (it's an infographic with no basis in fact). I can think of at least 15 people indicted in Whitewater alone. Not to mention Sandy Berger eating of top-secret documents, the Clinton e-mail server, the Paula Jones thing, the Monica Lewinsky thing, a number of scandals involving the Clinton Foundation (which is essentially a pay to play scheme for special interests to gain access to government), etc. Trump's easier to go after because he's not a lawyer. The Clintons were both lawyers, so they had a better idea of how to work the system. The current administration has weaponized that system to maintain its power. All to control the trillions of dollars in federal spending and regulation of key industries. {b}I can only think of 8 indictments so far in Trump's circle:[/b]
Here's the full list: 1. Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was convicted in 2018 on federal bank and tax fraud charges, pleaded guilty to more federal conspiracy charges, and was sentenced to seven and a half years in federal prison. Trump granted Manafort a full pardon in December 2020. 2. Former campaign chief Steve Bannon was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in connection with a scheme to defraud donors to fund a wall at the US southern border. Trump pardoned Bannon in January 2021 before he could face trial. 3. Informal Trump adviser and "fixer" Roger Stone was convicted on seven counts on obstruction, making false statements, and witness tampering in connection to the Mueller probe and was sentenced to three years in prison. Trump commuted Stone's sentence in July 2020 and fully pardoned him in December 2020. 4. Deputy Trump campaign manager Rick Gates, a key aide to Manafort, pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy and false statements and received only a 45-day sentence thanks to his extensive cooperation with investigators in the Mueller probe. He did not get a presidential pardon. 5. Trump's short-lived National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to one count of lying to the FBI in connection. Flynn, who went on to push conspiracy theories about non-existent fraud in the 2020 election, received a full pardon from Trump in November 2020. 6. Longtime Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to tax fraud, bank fraud, campaign finance violations, and lying to Congress in 2018, and was sentenced to three years in federal prison. Cohen, who turned on Trump after pleading guilty and cooperated with prosecutors, did not get a pardon. 7. Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in connection to the Mueller probe and served 14 days in federal prison. 8. Trump Inaugural Committee chairman Tom Barrack was charged with federal crimes including unlawful lobbying, obstruction of justice, and making false statements to investigators in July 2021.
"only"
(it's actually a lot more - you don't even mention Trump's CFO who has admitted the Trump Org was a giant tax fraud machine)
now do how many indictments in the Biden or Obama circles.
CORRECT! I don't give Gary the benefit of the doubt about being smart enough though...he's an election denier, so NO.
It's time for the Trumpers to smell the coffee, come to Jesus, whatever you want to say there. You backed not only a BAD and corrupt guy, but a guy who has taken your Party down with him.
When you make a mistake, you need to own up to it. Initially, backing Trump wasn't even NECESSARILY a mistake...we didn't know HOW low of a person he was initially. But NOW?! Oh, it's time. If you are still supporting him and his lackeys, that's a mistake.
You know, I once liked Bill Cosby. Then, we found out some sh!t about him, so...not a fan anymore. I was once impressed with Barry Bonds and OJ Simpson and Mark McGwire and Roger Clemens and Rafael Palmeiro and and. Well, we found out some sh!t about them, so...not a fan anymore. It's time for you Trumpers to introduce yourselves to discernment and stop supporting that criminal, serial lying POS.
Serious, WTF is wrong with you?
Election denying Democrats said it for 4 straight years, hell they continue to say it till this day. Let's not pretend it's a one side issue. Hypocrite.
Bullsh!t. Hillary conceded. Democrats didn't storm the capitol to try to stop the legal proceeding of passing the torch to the next President. Democrats didn't have a bunch of candidates running on "election denier" platforms.
Absolutely NO comparison. You can't honestly believe it's the same.
I DO see how others can be so insecure as to feel that way. I personally don't get it though. If Joe Biden tried to overthrow the government, I'd be off his bandwagon instantly.
Ah but what it being off the Joe bandwagon meant trump would be president again? There’s the rub. I think most Dems would shrug and say ok whatever Joe won’t do it again, and vote biden.
Many Repubs see elections the same way - trump or blm and socialism. It’s stupid but that’s how they see it.
thr two party system doesn’t work if the parties surrender to the criminals. The parties need to filter out the trumps so they never have a chance.
Being off the Biden bandwagon would NOT necessarily mean that Trump would be President again. I would NOT choose between two Dictator wannabes. I would support anyone going forward other than the two who tried to overthrow our government in that ridiculous scenario. Fortunately, Biden is not going to try to overthrow the government, so I don't have to make that call.
AND, I give ZERO respect to anyone who thinks Black Lives Matter is a bad thing. Good freakin' grief. And Socialism? Just BS fear on their part that has no merit. Yes, it's stupid. Zero respect for the Trumpers.

The founders of Black Lives Matter are self-avowed trained Marxists. You think that is a good think?!?

The BLM social movement had nothing to do with the BLM organization. The BLM organization is more of an effect than a cause. There are small organizations of radical marxists all over the country. Like every liberal arts college

let's say it comes down to trump v democrat, probably biden.
If we posit a hypothetical that the hunter biden investigation comes up with a Joe crime....I have no doubt that only a few million Dems would refuse to vote for either Spanks or Joe. Despite a crime, almost all Dems would still vote for Joe. Like almost all Rs vote for Spanky despite the crimes and ethical lapses.
It's binary. One or the other. That's a problem with the two party system, esp now that the party organizations have weakened and entrepreneurial candidates like trump have been able to hijack them.

similarly, the looting and burning was not "BLM." The looting and burning was just hoodlums taking advantage of the breakdown in law and order to steal stuff.

Any crime that Joe Biden may have committed related to Hunter Biden will have NOTHING to do with trying to overthrow our government. If Joe is convicted of a crime related to that and he is the candidate up against Trump, I would have to vote for Biden. Some sort of greed crime is still bad, but it is NOTHING compared to trying to overthrow our government, which Trump did try to do through violence and other means.
IF Biden ALSO tries to overthrow our government (he won't), then I would not vote for either one of them and would HAVE to vote for a third-party candidate or just not vote at all if there were not third-party candidate. I will NEVER vote for Dictatorship in this country.
Anyone thinking Trump is done for needs to take a drink of water.
this is from a pollster ranked A- by 538, so it's not garbage.
Of course, it's very very early - there isn't even a campaign yet. But as of today, the GOP is still the Trump party.
Former President Donald Trump holds a 30-percentage-point lead over his potential challenger, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, in a hypothetical 2024 Republican primary, a new poll found In the event of a potential rematch between President Joe Biden and Trump in 2024, Biden holds a four-percentage-point lead, the Emerson College survey found. The poll found that 52% of voters believe Congress should keep investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot by a mob of Trump supporters.

Hillary repeatedly called Trump an illegitimate president and claimed Russia got him elected.
I WAS WRONG--or at least misleading--and appreciate the skepticism! The funny thing is that I'm usually the skeptical one, at least about Dems.
That graphic references indictments, not individuals, and includes things like indictments against 25 Russians. Politifact does a decent job of dissecting all this:
"The claim is essentially on target for the Democratic presidents, but the comparison to the GOP presidents is overstated, because the numbers of Trump and Nixon administration indictments claimed are greatly exaggerated. "Even so, with a generous count, there were roughly 142 people indicted in the three GOP presidents — far [fewer] than 317, but far more than the two under the Democrats."
Again, thanks for speaking up. Glad to set the record straight.
Trump Allegations = Democrat Equivalent
Manafort / Gates = Hunter Biden and his associates (Basically they were doing similar things, although the Manafort / Gates stuff was never tied to Trump, but the 10% for the big guy is fairly well established).
Cohen hush money for Daniels / McDougal = Monica Lewinsky / Paula Jones
Roger Stone = Steele Dossier
The whole investigation into Trump was largely based upon rumors, hearsay and fabrications according to your beloved CNN:
When it came to light in January 2017, just days before Donald Trump took office, the so-called Steele dossier landed like a bombshell and sent shockwaves around the world with its salacious allegations about Trump and his su...
Heck, one of the indictments you are counting is for a guy who was a registered Democrat living in his parent's house selling fake IDs online.
Please provide a breakdown of each of the indictments you are counting under Trump and please explain why Clinton only has two indictments counted under him, when there were at the very least 15 indictments in Whitewater alone.

No.
you are taking the word of a dirtball hopeless drug addict who made a career out of using his family name to get stuff. Get a grip.
there is nothing 'established' about '10% for the big guy.' All it is... is a few pixels on an email. Could be a lie, could be some other 'big guy,' could be biden but in a completely legal transaction. It's just vapor.
Whereas we have dozens of indictments and convictions of trumpers. And trump himself committed multiple crimes that anyone but a president would have been convicted for.
You are 'both sidesing' us into a right wing kleptocracy.
Georgia is closing in on indicting or not indicting the big guy. Amazing that a party is under broad multi-level investigation for a coup attempt...but the nation still awarded it control of the United States House of Representatives.
This is a clown country sometimes. In a more serious nation the GOP would have been abandoned on J7 and reformed as a body opposed to coups and sacking congress. Instead it stayed the same and will end the investigation of the coup. Just sick stuff.
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is appearing Tuesday before a Georgia grand jury investigating efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Prosecutors in Fulton County, who are investigating efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to subvert the results of the 2020 election in the Peach State, want to question Graham about calls he made to Georgia election officials after the presidential election, as well as his interactions with the Trump campaign, according to court documents.
Graham had fought for months to quash his subpoena. The Supreme Court ultimately declined to block the subpoena for the Republican senator’s grand jury testimony. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Graham arrived at the courthouse around 8 a.m. ET.

Hillary repeatedly called Trump an illegitimate president and claimed Russia got him elected.
1) She conceded.
2) Democrats didn't have throngs of "election denier" candidates.
3) Democrats didn't put up 60+ bogus cases to the courts.
4) Russia DID help Trump...whether that help got him elected, we will never know.
5) This is not the same AT ALL. Not even close, and you look even more foolish than you already were by mentioning it.
Only 32% of Britons still think Brexit was a good idea. The brexiteers were the UK's version of Trumpist "America Firsters."
I'd guess that around the same 32% of Americans think Trump was a good idea. Problem is that in our absurd electoral system that gives him a good chance to be president.
