I just posted a thread on a Trump speech. I included an article about it. I wrote that it was a good speech. It was deleted in about 15 seconds. I have no idea why. It violated no rules that I am aware of.
Sometimes threads are deleted by accident, so try not to take any single deletion personally. That said, this is a running forum, not a political one, and your thread was most likely deleted because we have an official Trump and Biden thread, which is a better place to express political opinions.
I assume you are a moderator or otherwise knowledgeable about forum operations. Is it now forum policy that every single political thread will be deleted because it should be posted under the “official” Trump and Biden threads?
If so…you’ve got a lot of work to do. Threads of that nature are posted every day, all day. It does not explain why my thread was immediately deleted. I don’t take it personally. I don’t think my thread was deleted because I posted it, I think it was deleted because the moderators are out of control and are not held accountable at all.
LRC has not been just a “running forum” for a long time, probably decades.

We limit the number of non running threads. They are likely to get removed for being repetitive or unnecessary.
