You could not possibly be more wrong. I was referring to an element of society. Not a poster debating the topic. Not bullying.
Nice try.
Happy to discuss the actual thread topic anytime.
Just because it wasn't directed towards another messageboard poster doesn't mean that referring to human beings as "pathetic mentally ill people that need to be institutionalized" is not childish bullying. You're not holier than thou, so don't act like it.
Quite a spin you have there. Congrats. The childish part is good too. That is name calling, which is bullying. Good job. You showed your true colors.
I bullied no one on this board which has been my point all along to get posters to treat each other with decency.
Many pathetic mentally ill people need to be institutionalized. That is why we have mass shootings.
From Oxford - Bullying - seek to harm, intimidate, or coerce (someone perceived as vulnerable).
I am also entitled to my opinion on societal ethics. Sorry that it differs from yours but too bad. You must learn that others opinions and beliefs have a first Amendment right to be spoken as a general matter without attacking the speaker. Every group is offended by something. EG the abortion topic. I
PS. I have a right to ask someone who is name calling and bullying me to stop. Don't I?
If I were name calling and bullying someone else, they would have a right to ask me to stop.
Don't know why you are defending someone who is bullying by attacking the victim. Weird.
Kind regards.

“This is why I stick with women doctors, massage therapists, etc. Most men are safe, but one can substantially cut down on risk by avoding them in these contexts.”
I don’t really see any other way to take this statement. Some men are bad so you are avoiding all in vulnerable situations. I understand your sentiment, but where to we stop labeling people based on gender, race or appearance? A grandmother could state that she just doesn’t trust black men and therefore avoids them. She doesn’t want a black doctor? Is this ok? I’m simply pointing out that generalizations are not ok, but often viewed as “acceptable” when they fit one’s own personal narrative.
No, I'm not generalizing. I specifically said that I recognize that most men aren't predators but that I'm not willing to take the chance with doctors or massage therapists. Females almost never sexually abuse other females in these contexts. Nearly all sexual violence is perpetrated by males. Nearly all women I know are careful to avoid being alone with men in some situations.
I'm assuming you're a man. Otherwise, you'd understand the logic behind allowing only females to insert a speculum into your vagina, a finger into your anus, and feeling your breasts for lumps. Even women who go to male doctors are likely to understand why another woman would choose not to do so. And FYI: I have seen male doctors at walk-in clinics for colds and other things, my dentist is a black man, but I'm not picking a man as my primary care doctor for the aforementioned reason. Stop comparing this to racism. Sex differences sometimes matter because it is fixed and immutable.
By your logic, choosing a sexual or marriage partner based on sex is tantamount to racism. This is the same insane argument made by the most unhinged trans activists.

I’m pointing out the hypocrisy of your engaging in what you are criticizing. Couldn’t be more clear.
You were the one who suggested she might be "comfortable" with being raped. But now in your usual fashion your slither to say if she was "comfortable" with it she wasn't raped. So that is also a claim she is lying.
I don't think ....
Who do you mean by "she" in this fabricated hypothetical of a fictitious rape? I don't suggest a comfortably raped woman exists, but covered all the bases with an "if", while explaining that my expressed sympathy is linked to how the woman feels.
"she" = Kara Goucher, as you should know. "this fabricated hypothetical of a fictitious rape"? False on all counts: fabricated is wrong, and hypothetical is wrong, and fictitious is wrong.
As you should know from the NYT report, Salazar was banned for life for uninvited and unwanted penetration using his finger(s) - yes this is a form of rape, proven to the satisfaction of the independent SafeSport (created and authorized by congress in 2017) and the independent arbitrator that Salazar agreed to.
It's quite sad that you are here trolling along with "if" and "fabricated" and "hypothetical" and "fictious" and calling it just a massage etc. Show some respect for a change.

I am not...and no, it is not clear Mr Under a Bridge anonymous accuser. What is clear is that you are lying. You are hiding behind a keyboard.
**I am advocating people on this board, including me follow the rules of the board and not attack each other personally. That is all** Don't try to change it.
Hard to believe you would insert yourself into this conversation and claim something else because you just feel like trolling. Bet you wouldn't have made these accusations if you had to use your real name and do it to my face.
You are lying sir. What you are doing is wrong. Grow up and stop making false accusations.

OK, I see now. You are calling a finger where it shouldn't be rape, where Safesport called it sexual assault.
Well in that case, if that inappropriate coach-athlete situation made Kara feel uncomfortable, then she has all of my sympathy.
There was more garbage in this post than in a public tip. But just two piles of rubbish that are absolutely false: contrary to your claim, SafeSport is bound by laws; it is a statutory body with formal processes and procedures and is also bound by the laws of the land that include principles of natural justice. That's why it was bound to give Salazar the opportunity to respond to the accusations against him. It is a body that is also subject to judicial review. Secondly, 40% of rape accusations are not found to be false. That is a statistic plucked out of the air - or some misogynistic website or publication. Allegations have to be proven in a court of law; that some are unable to pass the test of beyond reasonable doubt does not mean they are false - and they are not proven to be false if they are not proven to be true. The figure for cases that don't pass this test is not anything like 40% and no claim can be made that a conviction is wrong unless it is overturned on appeal - and it may be overturned on legal grounds, not because it is untrue.
So in just three of your posts on this page you call one person's thoughtful fact based post "garbage". You disagreed on a stat and attacked the person as misogynistic, You called others "stupid", "slither" "creep".
The exact behaviour I was calling out as bullying, and ad hominem and advocating to discontinue on this site as it serves no constructive purpose.
In short you name called a poster who suggested that name calling is a bad thing in thoughtful or intellectual conversation and that people should not do it.
This was only in your three last posts. From your earlier posts I see you are nothing more than an abusive bully, keyboard warrior, and coward.
I would politely request that the ROJO the moderator remove your name calling posts from the site. There certainly are many. They add nothing to the topic(s) and devalue the credibility of the site.
Regards Sir.
I see you ducked the points I raised that showed the blatant errors in your post. But you do keep stamping your little feet.
Your first sentence is an admission of stupidity. The second is an exercise in condescension. You have "learned over time to be sympathetic to women"? They should be so grateful. Obviously, it didn't come naturally to you. It still doesn't. You have no awareness of what you are like.
Indeed it was a subtle admission of your stupidity. How astute. Thanks for helping me find the right words -- you are so much more gifted with language.
And no need to worry about me -- the ladies are always grateful for my empathy. I have a special knack with the ladies, but evidently not with septuagenarian geezers.
It's not clear why you cannot accept that I gave my complete sympathy to Kara for any and all discomfort she has inappropriately suffered, above and beyond incidents of sexual assault.
As I said, a complete lack of awareness of what you are like.
Who do you mean by "she" in this fabricated hypothetical of a fictitious rape? I don't suggest a comfortably raped woman exists, but covered all the bases with an "if", while explaining that my expressed sympathy is linked to how the woman feels.

That is how he argues, as he shows on every thread about doping - where he has routinely defended Salazar. He is obviously happy to conform to type here. He hides his profoundly unpleasant nature behind verbal smokescreens.

I'm glad we cleared that up.
"A finger where it shouldn't be" - in the context of Kara's sexual assault it's hard to read on after a comment of that degree of misogynistic lack of empathy. Repulsive. You have really exceeded yourself on this thread.

My feet have nothing to do with the topic but thanks for caring. My post is my post and it is based upon facts. I will not change it or discuss it further with you.
Once you start bullying and name calling, you lose the favor of the discourse response on a board.
People who make personal attacks believe they are right no matter what facts or perspectives someone else provides. Best you keep thinking that way that other thoughtful posts are "rubbish and garbage". I cannot persuade you with new information you have not seen. There is zero chance you would change your position. It would just generate yet another name calling post and I am tired of your personal attacks.
My guess is that the board is also tired of your personal attacks. They are endless. I am just your latest attack and don't take it too personal.
The loudest voice does not win the argument. The loudest voice destroys the discussion.

All of these repulsive words I used: "uncomfortable", "inappropriate" "situation", "fingers where they don't belong" essentially come from Kara herself. Just one interview from Runners World (from Sarah Lorge Butler):
"Kara Goucher said her former coach Alberto Salazar inappropriately touched her"
"He goes to give me a massage, it was the same situation where I felt his finger was going where it shouldn't be going. And I was so uncomfortable,"
I see all these terrible words pretending to be outraged and repulsed, and I'm just scratching my head.
Just the same, I will continue to give all my sympathy to any female athlete who ever felt uncomfortable in any inappropriate coach-athlete situation.

Loudest voice? With your endless paragraphs complaining about other posters you have certainly attained that status. There's an expression that if you can't stand the heat then stay out of the kitchen.

So now you claim to be unoriginal - that the words you chose to use aren't yours. If you are merely repeating Goucher you have nothing of your own to offer. There was absolutely no point to your comment. But the fact is you are doing your usual act of playing with words. You hide behind hers. Your "sympathy" - that you say you have "learned from women", as though it is a foreign language - reeks of your all too typical falseness and insincerity.

That is what you do on a board. You write and you explain your position. Personal attacks are not permitted.
Read your comment. It has no content but a personal attack. In fact, reading through all your posts here you have SO many where all you do is personally attack someone else. It is the overwhelming theme of all you post.
I am inferring from your heat comment that bullying and name calling are ok in your view. They are not. They are against the rules of this board (and all others). It is not "heat" - it is rule breaking and abusive. Call it what it is. You are wrong for doing it and the only reason you do this abusive behaviour is that you are anonymous.
Once again, my position is that people follow the rules of this board. That is all. If you would like to debate that, I am more than happy to.
Otherwise, I am asking once again for you to please stop the person attacks. Please. Stop.
Regards.

You spend all your time whining about others. That, too, will likely lead to another indignant response about your being "bullied" or "attacked". What you don't realise is that your arguments coupled with your pomposity invite derision.
