Wow that was a 4:38 last 1600m for Coburn over barriers. Her last 4 laps was faster than the average WR pace, 4:39/1600m. Crazy fast close when they picked it up

So the shot putter only has a face mask when she’s throwing?
Did you see her mental health PSA 🙄

Announcer kept talking about all the trials falland has gone through to be able to race. What all happened? Gosh I hope she didn’t just forget about the 4th alternate spot
She's been injured A LOT. Yea, 4th may have been the smart thing to do, especially if Frerichs pisses hot tonight.
Waymont under the collegiate record.

I wonder if that was the fastest last mile of an SC ever by an American. Would have to go back and check the Monaco & 2017 worlds splits

No she isn't. Can she say anything besides "xxxxx is in great shape"?
To the poster who commented a couple months back that rainsberger tried the steeple this year “as a desperate action for attention”, she hit the Olympic standard of 9:30 and got top ten at trials!! Glad she’s still proving people wrong

It is, and it's not close. Emma looks fit.

Eating disorder and wrote an epic post about how the letsrun message boards are bad.

Allie Ostrander with a lifetime best by 4 seconds. Running strong despite all that is going on in her life.
Amazing!

Agree. Are you considering that each lap is, I think, 390 meters?
3rd fastest time coming into the trials. So happy for her, maybe not the biggest surprise but still a thrill for her.
Mel Lawrence has run this event for SIXTEEN YEARS, and ran a new PR of 9:26! What an iron will that girl has!
Constien, Wayment and Rainsberger are the future of this event.
Falland caught her trailing foot. She was working very hard to stay on Courtney and Emma, her arms were kind of flailing. She was too deep in the well.

She says that Emma Coburn has “added repeats to everything.”
To “everything?” To long runs? To easy days? No she hasn’t. It made no sense. She’s falling into the Jill Montgomery trap. She doesn’t need to talk about their training. The casual viewer doesn’t care, and the informed viewer already knows more or less how they’re training.
Oh and Emma is NAILS. Her last mile was crushing.

Agreed. You hardly hear Cram or Hutchings talking about their training, only the race.
Kara isn't awful, but she's not very insightful with her commentary. She definetly seems to try hard to avoid saying anything critical. I'll give her a little break, because she is new, but for track geeks someone like Kyle Merber would be much better.

I don't think she hit the barrier,
Falland clipped the top of the barrier with her left (trailing) knee, which caused the fall.
Would like to read it
Crams and Hutchings have been at this a long time. Kara is better than I expected, and she will get better.
Gooo Emma — glad to see her mom there, and go Val on the race of her life.
I used to like Courtney but her shoutout to burritos was just tone deaf after Emma’s comments. When is coming going to ask them pointed questions about it? And Centro skipped media? Disband BTC already
