I have good news and bad. I have been working on this for months. If you don't recall, I have a friend that works at the BAA & was able to fill me in as to why Kip was allowed to run. After the BAA questioned him about 2010, he provided them with photos his friends/family took that placed him at many more spots on the course. That SUCKS!
But here's the real BAD news- because of recent anonymous threats that they have received about harming Kip on the course & the avalanche of signups to track him, for his own safety and others, they may NOT broadcast his personal checkpoints until he completes the race! That REALLY SUCKS!!
Don't Panic! There IS GOOD NEWS! They will still be tracking him, and it will be every 5K. Also, along with threats, there were a couple of guys in his corral that heard about Kip and volunteered to keep an eye on him from the start. With the high temps, they are willing to shadow him, regardless of pace.
If everything goes as planned, my bud is going to text me his spit times as they come thru. I will post them here as I get them. Stay tuned!!
PS: Game Over Kip!!!!!!!
