All in all I an say I'm happy to be the winner."
What a stud.

this coverage was hilariously bad. But bad enough to make me laugh at times, so there's that.
What's even better is you have Dathan at the booth, one guy who could possibly save your coverage, but you just talk to spectators and the 3 degree variance in temperature the whole time. Hilarious. As well as the battle of "road versus track" because, ya know, Kipchoge has no track credentials, right? LOL.
Would've been nice to see Bekele and Kipchoge battle it out the last 5K, but definitely happy for Kipchoge. Good dude.
and yes, with a mile to go in the women's race they also cut away, as they did in the mens race.
wtf
reavis should watch the replay of this and club some heads together
Kipchoge's interview was great
I would've loved to watch the women's race too...
But more weather updates now! Her hair is blowing!
sorry bout the triple post
"you can see my hair blowing"
Jeptoo crushed it at mile 23
Hastings a little over a minute back at mile 24.

If you told carey about our opinions here, would it matter at all?

I wasn't paying attention. How has Jeptoo won $1.6 million?? Did anyone catch that?

I have bad news for fans of Employee 1.1
He hit the wall big time. He lost 3 minutes on Amy from 35k to 40k.
While I also hated the coverage, you have to understand who their target audience is. It is not Lets' Run die hard hardcore fans. 99% of the people watching this today have no idea who Kipchoge or Bekele is. And that 99% is the people who pay the bills watching the commercials from the sponsors and NBC.
The coverage was pretty much spot on for the needs and taste of 99% of the TV audience, and that sucks for us the 1%.
I fail to see how ignoring the big breaks (either through broken equipment or other incompetence) could be ideal for the average fan. Anyone can understand that sort of important moment and would certainly rather see it than just suddenly seeing the winners ahead.

Are you saying that people sit down in front of the TV just to watch commercials?
