"White hat in Custody" - quote from the command center off the scanner
Looks like my hunch on the ex-Brown kid was correct, although the FBI photos threw a curveball, scanner-chatter shows his name was listed as one of the two arrested, and he is the White Cap guy:

The series of events above was just too suspicious, especially given the year leave from school, and heightened FBI interest in (supposedly what would just be another) missing 22 year old whose parents were worried. Why would the FBI get hyped up over a 22 year old philosophy student who went for a walkabout? Seems to be much more to the cell phone and computer left behind in his room that we don't know about yet.
From the twitter account of the black hat guy:

You were the first person on here to mention the connection!

Don't remind him. The guy is already busy making sure almost every post he makes is at least as much about him as it is the events currently unfolding.

In my estimation, this is al-Qaeda, or another related radical Islamic cell.
When's the last time Al-Queda perpetrated a terrorist act and failed to immediately take credit for it?
I am still interested in the Saudi National. This article says his apartment at 364 Ocean Ave in Revere was raided the other day, then the above mentioned events occurred with deportation on security reasons ensued, but Saudi diplomat stepped in, which is apparently common with Saudi Nationals. Revere is across the river, Northeast of Cambridge, where the shooting and car jacking occurred, anyone over in that direction know if anything is going down on Ocean Ave?
This looks like the prototypical al-Qaeda cell. I am very interested in the Saudi's family history of a-Qaeda activity, see the article I posted above.
They didn't immediately take credit for 9/11 if i remember right. Few days I thought.

Sorry, didn't mean to, just digging and commenting.
Apparently they've shot the black hat guy (Mike Mulugeta) and still hunting the white hat guy, the missting Brown student.
Also, doesn't Al-Queda typically do things on a grander scale? Not trivializing the carnage that happened on Monday, but they very easily could have done far more damage, for example, by using suicide bombers right at the starting line. That would not only have killed far more people, it would have kept the race from happening at all. These two guys seem like rank amateurs, and were clearly eager to escape and survive -- not a hallmark of these jihadist pricks.

Wrong wrong wrong again! You leftist liberals on here all accusing republicans of this. You make me sick and every thought of yours has always been wrong! Hey my son last year had a 4.0 and a 2210 SAT. He got dumped from BROWN! Your Muslim bomber took his place at Brown! You pig butt monkeys will be the destruction of this country.
Grades and test scores are only a small factor in college admittance. Your son didn't cut it in other areas. Only your son is to blame.
Police are reporting now that multiple explosive devices were thrown out of the car during the police chase. So possibly there was a grander scale op in motion that either didn't go as planned on Monday, or was going down in stages, who knows.

Exactly. Need not look further than the CNN homepage. "Coffee shop bomb kills 27 in Iraq."
If they want to kill dozens of people, they will. These dudes are amateurs.
Great news! One dead another about to be.

But of course socialists and muslims have a lot in common.
Right. Except for the trivial detail that socialists tend to be irreligious (look at Sweden, Canada and other socialist nations) whereas Muslims are probably more strongly motivated by religion than any group of people on Earth.
Where you dingbats get your ideas is beyond comprehension. I guess you figure it's valid to lump everyone you don't like into the same boat and assert that since they're all odious to you, their belief systems are identical. The stupid -- it burns.

Socialists support muslims and muslims overwhelmingly vote for socialists. And socialism is as close to a religion as it can be.
But who cares about the muslims. This attack bears all the marks of a leftists.
This guy with the white cap looks like Robby Adrews.

Thanks for your great work, Steve. Ignore the naysayers. This is definitely Thread Of The Year.
Gotta get some real work done now.

Is it ever great news that someone is dead?
