Apologies if it's elsewhere in the thread, but it's almost scarier to me to see Facebook comments from sycophants, friends, and family -- and with a scary religious bent -- in which these people are too simpleminded to adjust their previous misconceptions about a provable douchebag.
Even before the EPO, the disrespect, showmanship, and ego was embarrassing.
Are people really this DUMB?
People are so excited to "know" someone that's "popular" and "better" than them, they can't let these notions go. And then the religious crap is trotted out.
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone," crap about forgiveness, and asking critics, "Haven't you ever done anything wrong?"
Well, not like this. If any of my close friends or family were lying thieves like this, it would be the worst thing any of them has ever done since I've known them. His sycophants talk about forgiveness and not judging, but yet have much more sympathy and effort toward their "friend" than toward innocent victims that were ROBBED. It is by their own selfishness that they prefer to put their sympathies towards a jerk rather than towards hundreds of people that were screwed. That is their inherent judgment and choice.
No religious messages ever suggested that you stick to the side of someone who /has not made amends/ for their disgressions at the expense of others. Only when he returns every penny of every race victory, and reaches out to everyone who has been robbed, should we even think about forgiveness.
