Yeah, she is. ESP, Hiltz, Johnson, McGee, MacLean, Mackay.... I don't know which event is first at the trials, but Cranny ought to just focus on the 5000 to maximize her chances of getting to Paris.
They opened the NBC broadcast talking about Sha’carri. My “bold” prediction in habs’s fantasy league was not picking Sha’carri for top 3, but I won’t be surprised if she makes a fool out of me.
I’m for Jakob. I can’t believe he’s agreed to do a season opener after having not run indoor against his biggest rival with so many eyes on it. Just for that, when so many others would duck, he gets my vote. Taking a huge risk and lots of respect for that. And also this!! We need this! So many athletes are not approaching it this way.
“A big part of the sport is to not be only showing up when you are 100%,” Ingebrigtsen says. “…We all feed off the engagement and enthusiasm, especially from the crowd and the media and everything. And if we’re only saving that for one race or two races of the season, the whole point vanishes.”
“It’s a pretty good field but at the same time, I think we should expect this field or something similar to be happening every race,” Ingebrigtsen says. “I don’t think we should put this race up on a pedestal and say this is only this once. I’m hoping that we can do this in every race, because we all need to show up and we all need to do our best in every race, because that’s what people want. That’s what makes it exciting.”

Cranny has the Olympic standard from last year, but finishing fifth among Americans doesn't look good for the Trials. ESP/Hiltz the top 2 spots. Everyone else fighting for the third spot.
